I was pleasantly surprised at how much selection there is at Wray Market. Big produce section and most of it looked pretty fresh. Also lots of ingredients for Mexican food, plus familiar snacks and sweets.

It probably is on the pricy end for serving a rural community, but the prices are still cheaper than along the Front Range. Plus, I’m willing to pay a little more to support a locally owned business that employs people here.

Wray Market is a nice small town grocery. The prices were higher than I expected, but they also had some sales. My first visit to Wray, Colorado, was very pleasant!

Needs new management. Whoever is in charge of ordering items is not capable of determining which items need restocked. Every single time I look for Steak-Umm, or whichever version of it they carry, the STEAK version is always out, and they're always overloaded (in about the same proportions every time) with the corned beef and chicken versions. I've mentioned this to staff before, but management never corrects it.

Their produce is low quality, saggy, and wrinkly, and any fruit often comes moldy.

I went to get provolone cheese today, and the deli did not have any precut, and they did not have any major brand names packaged in the cooler. So I waited in line at the deli and asked them to slice it for me. I was told "it's going to be about 10-15 minutes, because she's the one that slices the cheese and we're serving lunch right now." I was literally the only person standing at the deli. You don't have people waiting for lunch right now, but you have someone waiting for cheese right now. Maybe take 30 seconds to cut a few slices of cheese?

Edit to add: but at least they have frog legs in the freezer, for some reason?

Wray has a wonderful grocery store. Its clean, they have a great deli that is very reasonable in price. I hear people say that the prices are high but I check in some small towns around us and found that we are not as high as you would think. We are very lucky to have a store like this in Wray when just a few years ago there wasn't enough food on the shelves to make a meal. The new owners have done well.

Well sometimes the fresh vegi fruit section isn't very good, but since it's the only store around it's what we have to shop. Convenience!

Teenagers running checkout were more interesting in talking and playing around than waiting on customers. They need to know who pays their wages.

I loved this store, all of the staff were awesome even when I thought Lexee worked there but she works in Imperial lol. Nice store!! I love the Cafe style Deli, actually I'm jealous of it as I am the manager of the deli in Holyoke. But this store is clean and organized and full of friendly people!!
