This is *easily* one of my favorite places, since moving to Spring Valley from Lakeside/El Cajon
The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and –despite having higher than average prices on some goods– they have great prices. They even sell my FAVORITE brand of ice cream, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams | The Best Damn Ice Cream On The Planet!!! 🤩 Be sure to check it out after 6pm, too when they mark-down a lot of goods 50%! Half-off, what a deal! 😀

Best meat. Best customer service. Best selection. Best smoked anything. A little pricey... But this is one of the few places left in the world where you actually get what you pay for. Used to be 20 years ago the extra expense was worth it but not so much anymore. This place however still stands that ground. Quality not quantity.

Would give 5 stars, but I picked up a pork butt and it had a big ol slice taken out of it, I was hoping for better quality from a 50 dollar piece of pork. All of the roasts were all wrapped in plastic, so I couldn't see this before purchasing. I contacted them to see if they can make this right before reviewing, but never got a response.

Great food but unfortunately not very accommodating for a party. I called a day prior and was told just call next day and place your order. I was concerned with a few reviews about having to wait a long time for the food prep. She said be specific on the time and I would be taken care of. On party day I called and the girl refused to take the order said I had to do it online. Reluctantly I went online and they don’t have the large side orders online and she would not write the order manually. So unfortunately I ended up buying a whole bunch of small size side orders online. Sad to say next time I will go to Cali Comfort and be treated like a paying customer

I love supporting local businesses with local graduates from our high schools. This little market has grown so much from its humble beginnings and is expanding all the time.

I come here specifically to buy Tomahawk steaks for my clients when they sell or buy a home as a closing. It's been a real big hit with my clients, particularly the young veterans, and it's one of the few places I know for sure they'll carry it year round.

They carry a wide selection of prepared foods and grocery items. We have even purchased our 🦃 turkey for Thanksgiving here and Christmas prime rib.

Staff at the meat counter are friendly, quick to answer questions, and efficient. You can always call and ask for the meat counter if you want pricing over the phone.

I went into the store way ahead of time to order a smoke turkey for Xmas eve. Came in the morning of to make sure everything was good. My order was not there. Made another order to pick up at 7pm and they said they can do it. It was an order for a whole smoked turkey. Came in at 7pm and I was given turkey breast. Guess I’m gonna get yelled at for putting my faith in a store. Thanks.

I think I have shared a review before in the past but I would like to leave another. I wish I knew the gentleman that helped us in the meat department. I told him I was going to another state with the carne asada and I wanted it to stay fresh. He vacuum sealed it for me and I think that was pretty awesome. It was a big hit at our gathering in another state.

I stopped by this market on my way back from shopping and the staff were extremely friendly and basically they had great organic everything, including produce. Definitely a clean eating store. I loved the selection although some things were priced incredibly high (gallon of milk $8.99). For liquor a decent selection of wine and IPA singles as well. Had some prepackaged sandwiches and other side dishes (so far the albacore and turkey sandwiches have been delicious) for about 5.99-10.99. They also take ebt.
