I just took my Valchris Farms turkey out of the wrapper. It shows bruises all over the poor bird. I'm not happy. When a bird shows that much bruising, it means the bird was not dead before it was processed, or it was severely hit, kicked, or beaten before death. A good portion of the skin that should have been over the breast was missing. There is no way to get a decent small turkey at this point in time to start cooking it in the morning. I usually prefer the smaller birds from other than Butterball as Butterball has too much breast and not enough thigh meet. I also prefer locally raised birds. Disappointed for sure.
