I was in attendance yesterday and found the place overcrowded and poorly organized. There was no traffic or parking control whatsoever and the auction arena and barn was so crowded I was unable to fight my way through the crush of people to get a look at any horses. I wouldn't have been able to bid on a horse anyway. I went around to another entrance and found entrance and exit blocked by a locked metal gate.Younger folks were climbing over it to get in and out but I couldn't. I'll have to go elsewhere to buy a horse.

Since new owners bought it this auction is getting bad used to be a good auction years ago now it's all about horse shows and horses very little cattle and goats sheep pigs they keep the the prices quiet don't put weekly price so people can see them online. Very little advertising of cattle mostly about horses since they hired new manager that they hired from finger lakes livestock. Things been getting bad u try to bid. They enor ur bid so. There friends and big buyers get the cattle it's fixed

They try to please the buyer and seller but if you’re sitting there with any intention you could be there all night. They will give the buyer five mins to decide if they will go up another $100 and then give the seller five mins if the horse has hit a reserve they are happy with. They do not go in order. They won’t announce a horse that’s been pulled from the sale EVEN IF it’s one they used as a huge draw to the sale. Several great quality horses, but a lot of flipping camp horses going on. They try but could seriously improve the facility and for the love of god not let so many people in the ring, it’s small enough and hard enough to see a horse go in there.

When you say horses sell at 4:00 stop trying to get another $5 for a saddle that belongs in the trash. A bit of quality control there would be nice, no one wants a bucket of leather. Katie is amazing. Clean professional, and incredible about texting you info on horses that are coming to the sale. I have no idea how she keeps track of a thing but she clearly is good at it!

Drove 3 hours for their draft special auction a couple months ago. The barn was VERY small and the horses could barely move because there were way more people in the barn than it could fit. I showed up just for the horses, but horses started late because tack selling ended over an hour after it was supposed to. Ended up having to leave early because it was 9 pm and I had to drive 3 hours home. Other than that, it was a nice place with some beautiful horses for sale and most of the other patrons were kind. One thing that was strange was that someone's (not sure if it was the barn owners' or not) dog was off leash and running through the whole area, which was not safe for the horses or the dog. Several people tried to catch it. But I will be returning for a new horse and hopefully will be able to stay the whole time.

Bought a horse that was great in the show ring and sold sound. After about an hour he could hardly walk on his rear leg. Katie made it right and I will remember that forever. Great business women. Buy with confidence at Unadilla

Purchased horses there and there are quality horses however never run on schedule and they spend double the time selling their own horses or the horses of frequent horse flippers that sell there. If you’re looking for a certain horse you saw posted good luck. They don’t advertise the number associated with that horse so it’s a guessing game. They don’t go in order of numbers so it could be anywhere. Should spend the same amount of time selling all horses equally and be more organized

Positive -We have gotten some great additions to our farm.
The horse tack auction is an inexpensive way to outfit yourself.

Negative - the most recent time we went a new auctioneer was there. He mostly jibber jabber Ed spoke very few real words n was way too fast to understand. You can't bid on animals if you have no idea what you are bidding on.
