Main office is great. However...nearly everyone at the DPW end has always been obnoxious.

I called ahead to the Town Clerk prior to making a visit, gave her my request which was to pick up a certified copy of a formal event (i.e. birth, death and marriage certificates are issued through their office), She quoted the price and indicated that I could pick it up the same day. I was there within the hour, parked in the rear,entered at the rear, was greeted cordially a long with a smile and my document was handed over to me as I exchanged for payment. I was in and out within 5 minutes. No lines, no waiting. Service couldn't have been any better.

I had a terrible experience in the water department office where the woman was extremely rude, condescending and argumentative. She literally yelled at me as I left the office. Apparently it's OK to treat taxpayers this way since I never got a response to my complaint about her behavior.

Went to town clerk to obtain a hunting permit.. the women in the clerks office is rude... no need for it all. I had a friend go in the other day and received same b.s.. maybe her bunny hugging ideals get in the way of her job....
