My visit to The Range in Steamboat Springs was an absolute treat! The staff here is incredibly friendly, always greeting you with a warm smile and making sure you feel right at home. The space is fantastic—bright, modern, and perfectly designed with stunning views of the resort. The food was out of this world; I couldn’t get enough of the gyro, packed with tender, flavorful meat and fresh toppings, or the meat and cheese plate, which was a delightful mix of savory goodness. The meatball sub was another standout—juicy, hearty, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy,

Highly Recommend…This restaurant is AWESOME!! Super views of the mountain and ski slopes and close to the gondola. It’s right next to the ice skating rink and lawn to enjoy a drink or meal while you watch the kids play. The food is wonderful and the service is top notch. There is a section where you can order yourself and pickup at the counter, along with a section for sit down service with a waiter. Killer drinks on tap, big wine and mixed drink selection, and a fountain drink machine with tons of options. They salads and sandwiches, soups and pizzas, tacos and dessert… You’ll find it all at the range. Fair prices, tasty meals, and good times await. Aidan is truly the best and always takes amazing care of me and my crew. We are welcomed with friendly faces and big smiles by the staff and they seem truly happy to help. Indoor and outdoor seating and two levels leave plenty of room for the whole pack. Thanks Steamboat…we will be back.

Outdoor sitting area with nice view of ski area. Easy to order food on phone and they bring out to your table. Food was hot with good presentation.
I would definitely return to try other menu items.

Amazing location. Right at the base. After a good day of skiing just walk in to the food hall and order whatever you want. There are options for sandwiches, ramen, pizza, tacos. We ordered, right from our table which was convenient, Chili Tofu Ramen and Nashville hot chicken tacos, ice cream sandwich. Tasty food. Food is filling. I have only two qualms - 1. We ordered all times at the same time expecting the dessert will be brought to the table after main course. But they bring everything at the same time. So we got our dessert before our main course. 2. Spicy was not spicy at all and chicken kinda hard. It costed us $90 which was kinda expensive but we expect that from ski resort restaurants. That’s the only time they can make some money. All good with me.

First of all, let me say that the two levels of Range seem very different. The first level is "order yourself via a QR code." The second level is a traditional table service style. I was on the 2nd level.

With that said, I had a fantastic time. The selection of food and drink was excellent, and very tasty. There was live music, which was perfect. The views were excellent, as was the service.

The negative reviews here didn't match my experience at all. Reading them , though, I say would say - if you come here, go to the 2nd floor !

Another top-notch Steamboat spot with lousy reviews that, in my view, are undeserved. Here’s the thing: it’s one thing to give low ratings to a place when there are other outstanding options available, but there simply is not another place with the range (get it!) of this place. We got in on a Thursday and had a terrific lunch on the first floor (lots of service-related griping about the first floor, which wasn’t super quick but there were like 200 skiers trying to order from 5 restaurants at the same point. Again—lower your standards, Steamboat), then came back for lunch on Friday (bomb, ordered the same exact thing [meatball sub]) and went for apres drinks Saturday night. Apres is magic at The Range—the patio is perfectly constructed to give you a view of night skiing, and there was a DJ shouting out everyone’s birthdays (after the first birthday shoutout, a suspicious amount of self-reported birthdays were announced. This didn’t impede my good time, but I could see how more suspicious minds might find fault). Those whose birthdays were announced were hoisted in the sky by surrounding patrons, and I just can’t articulate what a heroic, celebratory vibe this introduced as we all drank away our skiing soreness. They kept tally mark count of all of the shot skis that were ordered, and I’m not convinced that they’d serve you if you ordered a different item. I’m allowed to grant up to 5 stars and I’ll grant them all to The Range.

There was seating available upstairs however we were told the servers would not be able to help us for 15 minutes. We went downstairs (self service) and were able to figure it out promptly. The service was prompt and courteous. We had dumplings and drinks. Both were very good.

This is for the lower level. Food isn’t great. Overcooked tasting. Service is poor. They auto grat 20% but provide very minimum service. Order on your phone, get no help with ordering, they drop your food at the table without asking if there is anything they can help with or if you need anything. I had to go to the bar to get wine first and then walk to a station for silverware and extra plates after the dinner was delivered then after finishing we had to go and get a to go box. The building is nice and the people are friendly but it’s basically a cafeteria with mediocre food and the auto grat was deceitful. A hidden 20% gratuity for self service is bad.
