i would definitely recommend this auction.nice sales and the office ladys are nice.redbone is a real nice guy and i didnt expect him to buy some cows for you if you didnt know how,but look where we are.famliy friendly and has a cafe to the side with lots of things to eat.pretty clean compared to the others. 10/10,would recommend selling your livestock there.

I went there to buy goats. First, I wanted to look around to see what was up for auction. No can do. You are only allowed to see part of the stalls. The guy who owns the place has his grandkids working there. They beat the living daylights out of those animals. They had a pig I saw they were full blown kicking that thing with all their might. Then one of them hauled off and kicked it right in the nuts as hard as he could. They grab baby goats by their legs and throw them into the auction pen, cartwheels and all. It’s absolutely insane on how they even are open. Terrible treatment of animals and they need to be investigated. They will do it right in front of everyone too. I know animals can be tough. I have goats, cows, horses. If you can’t handle that, probably shouldn’t be in the business. I would never, ever sell an animal there. It’s just not kosher.

I would AVOID this rigged sale barn at all cost. This a good ole boy system screwing the little guy just trying to make a sale. I have numerous incidents that have been very suspect, now I know they are crooks...no more doing business there.
Edit: As you can see from the New Gainesville Livestock reply they are very defensive. If you read from the reviews you will see the same unprofessional replies to their customers which says alot about the character of the ownership.

We've taken cattle to Decatur & Gainesville for auction. Gainesville has been the best so far. Decatur mixed up or swapped our animals. We brought in several bulls+ 1 heifer. But they paid us for heifers + 1 bull. They apologized but didn't even try to sort it out so our check from Decatur was less than it should've been. So we went to Gainesville livestock auction with cattle since then& haven't had any trouble there. I would have rated my experience even higher if they'd listed their fees on my receipt bc it would've been nice to know how much their services cost. But we had no problems in Gainesville otherwise.

Sold Hair sheep there multiple times over the past 1.5 years. Been very happy with the sales, fairness of their auction fees, assistance with unloading, and the promptness with sending either mailing checks or holding them for pickup. The updates they have made to the cafe, office, and sale barn are also very nice!

This used to be a good sale, not anymore. Today I witnessed children in the sale arena beating on sheep for fun. This was during the intermission between the pig sale and the sheep/goat sale. I went into the office to report this to the people who work there and was apparently the second to do so. A blonde woman in the office was threatening a woman for telling them exactly what I was there to tell them. There is no excuse for abusing these animals let alone teaching their kids to do so.
Anyone in this business realize you sometimes have to get rough to herd livestock where you want them, but that's not what was going on. These sheep were in the arena waiting to be auctioned and there were no adults in the arena. Completely inexcusable behavior.

Total rip off. Cows were all pregnant when I took them to sale barn. Statement came back stating that one was not pregnant. Called multiple times, Red Bone never called back. I was out the money. Took my cattle again 2 weeks ago. Statement came stating they were only offering $1/lb. for some of my steers. Called multiple times, Red Bone never called back. Very disappointing. Can't do anything about it now that my cattle are gone and Red Bone has my money. Take your cattle somewhere else.

Took 7 goats...they made more money than I did. What a rip off. I won't be back. I took them the day of sale, so no feed should have been charged.
