I actually really like buying meat from this shop. They are extremely clean. You wouldn’t even think they sell meat. I suffer from gastritis and I love the fact that they sell bone broth that is unseasoned as an option . Yesterday whoever , helped me checked the dates on the bone broth and went back in and got me fresher ones and I really appreciate that , I didn’t even have to ask . I love the fact that the bone broth is from grass fed 🐮.

Came here because my local market was out of Grass -Fed steak and found a gem! The staff was so helpful and everything was of the highest quality. Whole Animal Butcher, all grass fed and loads of great product like sausages, pork, lard, beef liver, chicken. Highly recommend!

Yes it’s expensive, yes you have to eat the meat quickly ( it’s not soaked in bleach or preservatives)… but having this place around the corner is a god send.
I just don’t buy many things, not the most expensive cuts, but the basics ( pork chicken and beef) are fresh and the taste is a game changer. You just need salt to season! The items I am not a fan of are the sausages ( way too much salt!) nor their broths. Haven’t tried their sandwiches . And I really appreciate they sell organ meat.

I’ve been stop buying meat at Whole food after I found this place. Very kind and friendly. When I ask for stir fry cuts, they take time to cut it for you. Rich and fresh meat!

Absolutely dope butcher shop. Service was perfect, they event have fresh vegetables and other ingredients for you to cook with. Bought the stew meat to make a giant homemade pot of stew for the week, it was delicious. The quality of meat makes a huge difference and if you have never tried before I highly recommend trying it.

First off what an amazing place! Feels like a step back in time, but in a great way. Place is spotless and following all covid protocols. The butchers behind the counter are super friendly and willing to help in any way. The guy who helped me out explained the whole process about their deli cuts I was purchasing and was super patient when it came to deciding what I wanted which was super difficult because there were so many great options!! Seems like there are a lot of returning customers from just what I overheard and I definitely see why. Fresh produce, farm to table eggs and dairy products. Great great find. Oh and their green Mexican chorizo. Out of this world! Best I’ve had outside of Toluca, Mexico!! Thanks everyone at the meat hook for a great experience and great quality food!

Great shop with mouthwatering selection of meats and sausages, including related products such as fats and broths. Also a good range of fresh organic produce and pickles/jams etc. The interior is tastefully laid out, full of natural light, and as tempting as can be. When optimizing for quality and taste (as oppose to budget), this is the ideal place to shop.

I’ve purchased meat here twice. First, a knowledgeable butcher suggested a sirloin. My friends were hysterical about how tender and delicious it was. Then, I asked for a lamb recommendation. Another knowledgeable butcher suggested lamb chops and lollipops. Once again, my guests were doubled over in hysterics about how well the lamb turned out.

A proper meal consists of good food prepared well. I wouldn’t have been able to reach the same effect with lesser meat. Meat Hook, you’re 2 for 2 and have made one happy customer.
