The freshest seafood in LA can be found right here at the Lonely Oyster in Echo Park. They have oysters flown in straight from Canada and Washington and a rotating menu of expertly crafted dishes, every bite feels like a trip to the coast. The new Chef Mazen has elevated the menu, bringing bold flavors and fresh takes on classic seafood favorites. And let’s not forget the drinks handcrafted by the mixologist Philip and he hands down know exactly what he’s doing. Unique drink selections and flavors paired perfectly together and our entire party enjoy every moment of it. Would love to see them do hosted pairings that highlight their unique menu with drinks that speak to one another. This has been added as one of our favorite place to dine-in at.

Oysters here are really good, so are the drinks.
More expensive than I expected it to be.

Appetizers and starters run around $15-25
Entrees are around $30-50
Cocktails around $18-23

Portions aren’t huge and you will probably be a little hungry afterwards.

The steak is really good, I’d request the sauce on the side.
Oysters are fresh and if you come after 10pm they are half the price. Otherwise I think it was $6 an oyster 😱
The fries with old bay are good.
Calamari was delicious.
The risotto I would pay, it just wasn’t what I expected and sweeter. The salmon in it was really good.
Gem Caesar salad I would pass, I felt it was a bid bland.
Seafood pasta was great and they have a good amount of mussels and clams.

The place is really dark and parking is a pain.

Awesome spot! Open late, and the staff on the late shift are super friendly. The girl working the tables at night is amazing—she took great care of me and my girlfriend one night, and then of just me on another visit! It’s rare to see that kind of attitude late at night in a city like this. There was even an older lady being a bit too loud, and she handled it so professionally! The guy behind the bar had excellent taste in music, and my martinis were spot on. The food was fantastic both times I visited. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent and inventive drinks, delicious food despite fairly small portions (don't plan on leftovers no matter how minute your appetite is), and hit or miss service. Mostly service has been attentive and friendly, but today we had food dropped before receiving drinks, then no one checked in, period, even for 20+ minutes after we had clearly finished our dishes and had empty cocktail glasses. The patio was about 1/3 full; it wasn't a busy time. Eventually I went to the restroom, and on my way back asked for the check and mentioned we hadn't seen anyone since the food drop. A server came over, and I noted again that no one had ever returned after we received our meals. Rather than apologize, she asked how food was. We both said it was good, because it is always lovely there, and I said that I'd appreciate it being recognized that service had completely dropped off and no one had checked in on food or additional cocktails. We were instead met with silence. I'll still return, but the price points definitely warrant more consistent service.

Food was decent, servers are great.
I would recommend this spot for a late night, walk-in option on the weekend.
Hard pass on the "bread pudding" - we sent it back.

Unfortunately, they are not organized or professional enough to rely on if you have reservations. When guests make specific plans, it is for a reason, so when restaurants don't honor those plans, it leaves a bad taste. Instead of ordering the dishes we planned for and boozing it up - we opted for 3 small appetizers, a drink, and got the heck out of there.

I almost made the mistake of booking the space for my birthday, thank god I dodged that bullet. I certainly would be less forgiving about any unpleasant surprises on my birthday celebration. I will not be back.
But I think they fit in well for this location, lower standards.

Unbelievable that this place isn’t packed late night on a Friday. Ditch LA and come to Deep Ellum in Dallas.

Cocktails are great, one of the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. Salmon crudo and oysters were excellent with delicious sauces.

Glad we came across this place, definitely a favorite.

Truly a 5 star establishment - from the amazing menu selection and delicious beverages (definitely trying the martini that comes with a caviar bump next time), appetizer selection, food quality and amazing service all available on a Tuesday night at 11pm (and until 2pm) I was truly a 5 star experience. Comforting and delicious restaurant, you must go. If this post doesn’t convince you their instagram photos will!!

Family friendly atmosphere. Food is decent but not terrific to justify the prices. Lobster trio was very buttery but any time you cook anything with a lot of butter you get that buttery taste anyway. In my opinion it’s not worth $36.

Waiter is attentive.
