While returning from the beach, we came across this charming little stop. At first, we thought it was private property, but it turned out to be a lovely and welcoming place. They offer a variety of locally grown produce like watermelons, peaches, onions, and potatoes. The coffee was surprisingly good too. You’ll also find a selection of flower plants, including real sunflowers. We even picked up some alcohol-free juices.

I’ve always wanted to stop by this place on my way back from Alabama and I’m so glad I finally did! Absolutely loved it! The cute Southern-style decor, delicious drinks, and the classic pecan log were all amazing. I also grabbed a few adorable shirts and couldn’t resist restocking on their room sprays, candles, and lotions enough to last me a couple of months! Don’t skip this gem! 😻

From the food to the environment we loved sweet south market.

We stopped in our 12 hour drive back to Va. While we waited for our food ( a large order for 7 people) we played corn hole and took a spin on a mary-go- round. The wait time was about 10 minutes. ( we had a large order) . The sweet tea/ lemonade was amazing!

After lunch we shopped and got a couple baskets of fresh fruit. The prices for everything was very reasonable and the Quality was great!

Make Sweet South Market a stop on your route! You won’t be disappointed!

What a fun spot to stop on the way home from the beach! It’s definitely inspired by Joanna Gaines’s Silos, but she has her own very clear identity! I was told that the owner and her bestie are nurses and they brought this vision to life! I not only loved their vision, but I felt it. I love seeing dreams come true—especially those that provide space and place for building and celebrating community. This is definitely our family’s new favorite stop! I don’t know the owners, but I knew I loved them when I found Kiesha Goff’s Gospel Art in the gift shop. šŸ’• And, that old school merry-go-round—took me back to the second day of second grade, as if it weren’t 40 years ago!

Old School boiled peanuts in a styrofoam cup and a bougie coffee all in one place—this is the stop for me!
