Wow! I needed to buy some last minute supplies for Thanksgiving (I am on pie duty & needed a tart pan) & found my way to this place. What a find -- ended up with 3 different sized pans, a pie shield and baking weights. I was amazed at how much high quality decorating supplies and equipment was packed into a relatively small space. The woman working the counter was friendly and helpful -- I will definitely be back when it's time to get decorations for my Xmas cookies!

Went here to shop for gingerbread house decorating supplies and was not disappointed! Largest selection of sprinkles I’ve ever seen!! It seems like a small store from outside, but they really fit a huge selection of products inside. Very reasonable prices too. For any unique baking supplies I would definitely come here again!

I was on crutches when I visited here. Staff helped me find needed items and carried it to check-out for me. Then went and opened door for my convenient exit.

My 8 year old niece came to Sugar N Spice for their camp that they offer. She was literally traumatized. The camp instructor told my niece to "shut up" and shoved her. This instructor should not be working with children. My niece cried not to go back to a CAMP. When her grandparents tried to speak with the instructor she was rude & they couldn't even get a word in. The instructor says she records video in her class which is a little awkward as well. I would definitely not recommend Sugar N Spice camp to anyone. Also my niece mentioned some of the products they were baking with were expired.

After owners response it is clear she should have no buisness running a camp for children. My post isn't the 1st to say you are not suitable to run a camp with children. You are rude and should speak with parents/adults before resulting in abusive speech and behavior such as language (shut up and shoving). I do hope you have that on film as well. I wish we read the reviews before sending her there and I hope this review helps other people make their choice before sending their child there. And actually I just checked you have tons of Yelp reviews from ADULTS saying how rude you are, how dirty your store is and they would never go to your class again. This is from adults I absolutely 100% believe my niece you are a nasty person that should never own a customer service buisness let alone teach kids at camp.

Best place if you decorate cakes...they have everything you need and great advice. Mother and Daughter owners always bringing in new tools. Friendly and good prices. Worth the drive for me.

Update: I saw a recent review on the organization. I have no idea what that person is saying. Everything is organized into categories and well displayed. I think that the incredible diversity of their inventory is amazing and they do well displaying all the items. The 20 foot wide and 6 foot high wall of cookie cutters alone is awesome! And chocolate molds, sprinkle selection seems unending. Then fondant, colors, every piping tip made, and much much more.

Seriously if you want a minimal selection and an aisle or two of stuff, stick with Michaels. But if you are really wanting to expand your baking and decorating this is the only place in the Bay Area you need to go. Been my go to for all my cake making for over 5 years.

And they can also teach you how to be a better decorator with classes. I cannot attest to quality of class as I haven't taken one. But based on the regular advice I receive when I ask questions I would give them a chance.

I am a professional chef with a culinary degree, decades of experience and am a Food Network champ. With that said, this is my favorite baking and cake decorating store in the World!! They have a great supply and carry many goods that one simply can not find elsewhere. Their prices are reasonable. I have brought fellow chefs from all over the world here when they visit me here in the USA. An Eastern Indian chef happily spent close to $500 but could not buy more due to his limited suitcase space. Last but not least is the woman that owns the store. She has so much knowledge, she might as well be a renowned pastry chef!!

I frequent sugar and spice when I need some baking equipment or piping tips. It's not as up to date as other stores, you can tell they've been around for awhile. Read one of the reviews about the woman being rude. She may seem that way to some people I can see it but she's more straight-forward than rude. It's overall a decent place to get your baking needs. The store is very dimly lit as well.

Great variety of cake decorating supplies in stock. Very knowledgeable staff who will go above and beyond to assist. They also offer classes at this location. Parking lot in general is always full BUT there are 2-3 parking spaces available to patrons located out in front of the store.
