Beautiful place, very charming. I really enjoyed my visit to this historic museum and working farm.

People who are complaining about rusty tools etc are, in my opinion, pretty silly. What did you expect? It's a farm full of antique farm equipment. Nothing here is new and shiny. Wrap your children in bubble wrap, spray them down with antiseptic, don't forget the helmet, or understand that it's okay for children to get dirty, it's good for them. They will be fine. This is a child friendly place.

Really unique experience led by knowledgeable and friendly owners. We took a graduate student group for a soap making experience and tour, which was quite an experience for all and especially so for the international students (homesteading was intriguing). I’d recommend to anyone. It’s definitely remarkable.

I rarely leave reviews, but felt I had to after briefly visiting here. First, I feel like this place had good intentions but it looks like the owner just let it go as it looks nothing like the pictures online. I love the fact that it’s preserving history, but it was unkept and dangerous for little ones.
When we first got there, we went by the chickens to find dead chicken in the dirt. Bones and feathers just lying there. Then two dogs unleashed came running up to us fighting with each other. I had my 1.5 year old with me so big dogs running around with no owner in sight was a little scary. The animals in the barn look underfed. You can see the cows rib cages!
All the buildings have spider webs and bee nests. There was a rotting pumpkin inside one where a rat ran from when we opened the door. All the gardens were overgrown. All the products you can purchase in the little store had spider webs all over them as if they haven’t been touched in a long time. As I said, I believe this place could have potential if it was properly maintained. I would definitely never bring young children here as it could be dangerous.

Highly recommend! This farm & historical village is a must visit! Super quaint and laid back, and the handmade items in the shop are awesome...Perfect place to shop for handmade local gifts or items for yourself.
They also sell different seasonal items that are wonderful, pumpkins, Christmas trees, etc. The historical village is so interesting, and fun to see! We've come to love this gem, and only wish we'd known about it years ago!
