We were smitten with this campsite and with Shanti Permaculture Farm in general! What a magical place. The moment we showed up we were invited to help feed the animals (something we were very excited to take part in) and it really added to our overall experience. It was so fun to walk around the property the days we were there and spot Cosmo and the sheep grazing around! We also felt very safe Covid-wise and felt that all precautions had been taken into account. Elizabeth was so welcoming and helpful the whole time, we would absolutely stay here again!

This place is a must-visit! The new dog park is amazing! There are so many adorable animals to see, delicious chicken and duck eggs (when available) and a beautiful, serene setting. Also, Elizabeth is a fabulous massage therapist! Being a massage therapist myself, I had been looking for years to find a skilled practitioner. Elizabeth's knowledge of anatomy and ability to search and destroy stubborn knots is extraordinary! Shanti Farm is a West County gem for the whole family!

"Can we come back here, dad?!" My kids had a lot of fun at Shani Permaculture Farm. They loved feeding the animals and the campsite worked perfectly. Water, shower, and potty were all convenient. Elizabeth and staff gave us great tips for the beach, the Russian River, and the Grove of Old Trees.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay on Elizabeth’s farm! Our campsite felt tucked away in the trees and all the animals were delightful to have around. Elizabeth was very kind and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We had lovely conversations and left feeling inspired. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be more excited to share in the wonderful experience we had at Shanti Permaculture Farm. My girlfriend and I had never been to the town, and brought along our wonderful pup Aspen!

Elizabeth exceeded expectations in every sense of the word. She was nothing short of hospitable during our stay, offering to share her home-cooked meal with us upon our late arrival, and making us feel welcome from the onset.

The yurt itself was spectacular. Keeping up with the round architecture of the structure, the bed and lights throughout the unit shared similar aesthetics. Heaters throughout the tent ensured we slept comfortably, with a fire and camp stove outside providing ample amounts of cook space for breakfast, lunch, and dinners. She even generously provided us with all of the firewood required for multiple fires, with propane used for the camp stove!

The property was teeming with wildlife, from which we shared in feeding the chickens, offloading hay for the goats, and having farm fresh goose eggs provided upon our departure. I cannot speak highly enough about what an incredible experience we had from such a generous host.

Excellent experience, from which we'll definitely be coming back for more! I couldn't be more happy, and couldn't provide enough recommendations for this place. Thanks Elizabeth for sharing your home and making Andrea, Aspen and I feel so welcomed!

We loved our stay at Shanti Permaculture Farm. Elizabeth is a wonderful host, she is very sweet and she took a lot of effort to make our stay pleasant. Our kids loved every minute, feeding the animals, helping in the garden, making a campfire at night. It's very beautiful and the scenic route toward the ocean is stunning. Elizabeth has many recommendations for things to do in the area. Although, if you are traveling with little kids and only spend a couple of days, you don't even have to leave the property as it has everything to relax. We stayed in the cottage and could enjoy the hottub as well. On Friday there is a farmers market in town with great food. Would recommend this stay, especially with little kids who love animals and nature.

This place was magical. Occidental is a very cute town with really positive energy. Shanti Permaculture Farm put it over the top for my family and me. Elizabeth is very warm and welcoming. We got to help feed the animals and even enjoyed some of the farm fresh eggs. The whole place was quiet and relaxing. It felt cozy and secluded without being too far out of the way. I got great sleep even though I was in a tent. We will totally come back!
