Sam's Club - Citrus Heights, California

My first visit to the Citrus Height’s Sam’s Club. I didn’t know what to expect. What did I find. Was it a good experience for me? Did I buy something? What is Scan & Go? How’s the Sam’s Club App? What about the Associates, the staff and management? How about cleanliness? What about “outs”? How does Sam’s Club compare to Costco? To Raleys-Bel Air? To Safeway?

There’s no way I can address every point in this review. I spent 45 minutes in the Citrus Heights Sam’s Club. That’s not long enough to post a thorough review.

I’ll touch briefly on two points.
Location
If you live north of the American River and you’re a long time Costco shopper, boy do I have good news for you. Picture Costco on the best day. No outs. Not crowded. The best people there to greet you when you show up and to say thank you for shopping when you roll out the door.

Citrus Heights Sam’s Club by comparison?
As good, if not better. You’ll have a great experience there.

I want to like them because the prices on diapers and things are great, but if you are getting a pickup order, don't bother. Even walking across town to Costco would be faster. I have never waited less than an hour for a pickup order to come out. I understand they get busy but their system will literally let people check in over you and you will watch as everyone else comes and goes. It took 90 minutes to get 2 boxes of diapers today. Bonkers.

OMG! Love the people and communicative they are. It felt like home being though I just moved and needed to find a Sam's Club. I love it, thanks for the invite and I definitely will be back! Love love love this place!

They're trying force everyone at this locations to do scan and go but here the think someone like my 83 year old grandmother got treated like a theif because the scan an go missed like 3 items they re rung her cart embarrassing her and told her she can no longer use scan an go which she new too so back to the lines she go. Since the cut back on dei I told her to get a Costco membership because this location been treating everyone like a damn thief since prop 36 passed they already lost a lot of customers with this move. Just letting yall know becareful with scan and go. Most the time the app doesn't even work right but it's the workers who treat you like your a thief

I purchased a set of tires which were great. After 6k miles I called to get them rotated but no one answered their phone. I called for days on end and no one ever answered. I eventually gave up. Now I have 2 nearly bald tires and the tire guy there at Sam's said he won't touch them and I have to buy 2 more. He was rude and treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. So frustrating! I've only driven 30k miles and they should last 75k. I will never step foot in that store again.

On my way out the door I bought 500 dollars worth of goods and Alex was digging through deep in my cart all through my bags trying to see if I stole anything. This is after I had several worker try to act concerned about the items in my basket after checking out I watch the white lady with glasses and long graying hair lady go to Alex and had him flag my cart. He then proceeded to open my bag and scan items? never had that happen to me ever. And I've been shopping her for years as I have a big family so I'm constantly shopping here. If I didn't need the food I would had gotten a refund and made them put everything back for even trying me. Trying to act like im a thief because my baskets full, tsk

Merchandise parallel to that of the Costco. Customer service is lacking. Many employees here seem to be frequently in the bad mood. Probably because of the customers which are also lacking in multiple ways including class. Plenty of parking, decent restrooms, food court items are good. Lots of good stuff. Surprisingly enough their sushi is good and made on location. Good people watching location. Studies can and must be done here in the humans. They are entertaining to us.🚻🍣👍

I like the store but the cafe sure takes long time to order + 15 to 20 min to receive ur order. I'll give them for bad service 2 stars. I hope the pizza is good.
