Called the help line regarding my rewards. I told the lady I didn't clip the $5.00 off so it should still be there. We'll she tells me I used them in October and I told her they were there just this past week. What does October purchase have to do with this week. She wouldn't hang up the phone so I could do the survey. I try to keep my business there and I know for a fact you people could care less about this but I had to put it on the review so other people can see it. Very disappointed with customer service 😡

I have shopped Safeway weekly, sometimes daily for years. Since the early 80's, they've been the store I go to, to shop. I am incensed at the greed and profit they are making on our backs.

The app WAS great, they changed it and it's harder to get rewards and prices are out of control. I clip all the time. The last 2 times I've clipped, the store WAS NOT UTD with the app. I had to grab a checker to knock off my discounts (not the first time since they updated and it's embarrassing), and the FIRST thing they say is ' there were new coupons today. ' I said 'I know.' It was over $5 in savings and she gave me $2. She even checked if I clipped them, which was done. On the last three visits, we've lost over $15 in savings. It adds up. Look me up Safeway.

I'm done. Whole foods and Amazon it is.

Sincerely,
Mora Luke

I am now done!!! After years of trying to shop Safeway, I am not going back. The Pick 4 meat deal for $19.99, at least at the 44th and Lowell location is a scam. It ALWAYS comes out full price. Lucerne eggs, $2.89? Nope! $5.19. Waffles- digital coupon for $1.93? NOPE, $2.99! The employee double checks the incorrect prices and verifies they are incorrect then stands there dumbfounded as to what to do about it. For once, I just had him void everything and left. It is bad enough that we have to scan and bag everything ourselves, but then to ALWAYS SCREW UP your prices is beyond the pale!! Extra cost this week would have been nearly $20!!!

A very unhappy pharmacist at Safeway in Idaho springs Refused to fill my prescriptions even though they were sent by my Dr and approved by my insurance company. Canceled my prescription and refused to transfer to another pharmacy. No explanation or courtesy call. Probably needs to be reported to the state pharmacy bureau. Very unprofessional behavior!

Female
ran out of gas.(It just never happened to me before) I walked away to a Safeway market/gas station 6:50 in the morning. Waited 10 minutes cause they open at seven as two employee ate walking back-and-forth. 7 o’clock comes around. I am excited because I get to put gas in my car and on my way. They still don’t open the door until 715. I called corporate and they were absolutely no help. They had no idea what Safeway I was talking about even though I gave them the full address simply a joke disrespectful didn’t care about me standing outside, waiting after that I told them I needed a gas to put gas in my car.
I will NEVER VISIT. Or recommend ANYONE TO GO THERE

Safeway at 104th and Colorado Boulevard in Thornton CO. I have been a loyal customer of Safeway for 25+ years and never experienced service like I did today. My shopping experience started with no carts, not even in the parking lot. I asked a manager about it and she said that I would need to wait for one, she couldn’t help any of us. Yet, was doing nothing. The store was not that busy. I followed a customer out to their car for a cart. Customer service was closed, 11am. So I thought I would just come back after I shopped. Prepacked deli meat expired, old produce. After shopping $250+, I went back to customer service and waited in line with 6 other people, poor woman was trying as best as she could. 2 managers standing in front of the registers talking and laughing while their staff were struggling, only 2 registers open. I walked out to my car, and there were 2 additional staff outside in the front of the store waiting for customers to bring their carts to them. Even during COVID, the service was not this bad. Slowly I have seen this store deteriorate, and it saddens me deeply for my community.

Just had a bad experience at the Parker store. I was having trouble clipping coupons (shouldn’t have to do this idiocy). Ask a manager for help and he ignored me. Ended up paying more than I wanted (I had mussed the need to purchase $50 worth in order to get the coupon on the rib roast). I only saw this on my phone and I’m 77 and my vision isn’t the best. Went thru sky chevkout after speaking with clerk there. Long story short, I had to go to customer service and then to a register. Was told I couldn’t use coupons at s,f checkout. I don’t think that’s true. When I realized my mistake, I asked that the sake be cancelled and my credit card refunded and that I would shop again when I was prepared to spend more as I only had about $20 in purchases without the meat. Thus took a good 20-30 minutes as they couldn’t get the computer to the right amount. I HATE THIS COUPON CLIPPING. Why isn’t my Safeway card good enough? I waste an hour or more. While I’m at it, why doesn’t Safeway have real butchers? I can no longer get a bone-in pot roast. The bones are all removed before the store gets the meat. I once loved Safeway, especially the meat doartment, but now they have lost any personal touch and that manager who chose to ignore me cost me and an employee a heck of a lot if time. He needs to learn about customer service.
