Went in to rouses at 4:15 on a Saturday. Was wanting to buy five steaks. After looking for several minutes I find they had no meat cut and the young man that I asked about steaks he said that he wasn’t qualified to cut meat. Just really surprised that at that time on a Saturday there was no staff that could make it happen. Just really surprises for Rouses.

A decent Rouses. It's a former Bruno's location so it has a similar layout but the Rouses folks have done a good job making it their own. I don't think you'll find a better selection of Cajun/Creole/Louisiana-made goods anywhere else on the Eastern Shore, either. The location is pretty convenient to the bulk of the residential parts of Spanish Fort compared to the other grocery stores around. Be sure to sample some cake slices from the bakery, I think they're really good for a supermarket! Just be sure to check expiration dates. If this store is anything like the one in Gulf Shores, there are a lot of old products on the shelves!

I love that this location is so spacious and the first thing you see are gorgeous flowers and gifts for sell. Our cashier was a delight to talk with.

I decided to try the curbside pickup option of Rouses in Spanish fort and regret to say that it is probably the to last time I will shop at that store. Two of the items I ordered I 2had to throw away immediately. A gallon of milk had an expiration date of 2/25.... Yesterday. I ordered two cucumbers and both had already gone bad. It is obvious that the store policy is to pick the oldest esitems on the shelf for the customer rather than the freshest. In the future I will be a Publix customer and could never recommend Rouses to anyone else.

Always a good experience and even got to talk to the "wine guy", mot sur ehis name but he knew his stuff! I really appreciated the recommendations that I got even though I didn't get them this time, I certainly want to try in the future.
