It's one of the most underrated night spots in LA. It has both indoor and outdoor sections, weekly live band/performers, occasional independent vendors, and on certain nights, there are delicious tacos for sale. The staff are great, and the drink deals are fair. Be sure to tip the bartenders, they deserve it!

Very cool venue with live music even on a Monday! The atmosphere was great and the outdoor area is sublime. Biggest complaint would be that the live music mixing was terrible. The volume was very high, way too high for such a small space. The mic audio was very low, and there was even a technical issue mid performance. Shame as the group playing seemed pretty good

Great location to have your pop up event. Shout out to the white durag team for hosting a successful event 🙏🏿. Appreciate the hospitality as it was my first time arriving. I would suggest coming here to grab a bite and invite a group of friends

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing. While the bartenders were kind and welcoming, an unexpected incident completely soured the visit. It was freezing, so we tried to turn on a heater, but instead of helping us, another staff member (who wasn't even working at the time) berated us aggressively. She then escalated the situation by calling security, cutting our time short and not even allowing us to finish our drinks. Even the bartenders seemed taken aback by her behavior, making the entire encounter incredibly awkward.

It's a shame because the atmosphere initially felt inviting, but this one interaction left a really bad impression. Hopefully, management can address situations like this to ensure future patrons don't experience the same.

Hip little outside bar. Great place to get a drink while you’re waiting for a table for brunch or the show at Mad cap motel. I went in the summer and had the slushy drank it comes in a really cool tiki cup. The lime in the coconut is also really good!

Resident is THE place to be for any sort of occasion or simply just for a fun night out! I came here for my 30th birthday and everyone at my party told me how much fun they had and can’t wait to come back on another evening.

Dija at Resident helped me arrange everything to make my birthday special and accommodating. Herself and the entire staff are friendly and awesome!

Thank you so much Resident for hosting such an amazing milestone birthday and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon 🙂

The actual place is way cool unfortunately The Resident DJ should be playing better dance music. Growing up in the 80s my dad was a DJ and knew what music would get everyone on the dance floor and kept them there. If I wanted to hear lounge music I can do that at home.... I came here to dance but spent more time sitting which was a bummer.

Fun little Arts-District bar/venue with a small stage (but excellently maintained soundsystem) and decent bar.

I enjoyed performing here last week and would gladly come back again sometime.
