Nicest Residence Inn we've ever stayed at. Right off the highway and next to the LA Live and Grammy Museum. The service is attentive and the entire hotel has been completely remodeled. The rooms are nice and spacious. The dinning lounge on the second floor is large and comfortable. The food and drinks at the main level cafe are very good too. The gym is well equipped and spacious. The outdoor pool is also very nice and heated. Overnight parking with valet is expensive but expected at a city like LA. Plenty of more affordable parking options within a couple minutes walk.

My wife and I stayed one night after seeing the Celtics at the Lakers basketball. We were really looked after, and we were given a room with a (distant) view of the Hollywood sign.

Breakfast was included.

There is a slightly wierd “pay a resort fee, and get an equal bar/food credit” arrangement, but it worked out fine (yes, we had drinks :-)).

Top tip is to park in the public pay machine parking directly opposite the front door. Easy, cheaper, and no wait for valet return.

The good:
1. The room is a good size with a kitchen.
2. The room appears to have been refurbished recently so everything was nice.
3. Breakfast included.
4. Room rate ok especially for LA.
5. Several restaurants, Crypto arena and LA convention center are in walking distance.

The not so good:
1. The room wasn't ready when I arrived at 2:30. The front desk (not so friendly staff) said they would send a text when the room is ready but I never received a text. One of my colleagues received a text at 5:45 pm, well after the 4 PM check-in time.
2. I asked for late checkout and in spite of being a Bonvoy member they wouldn't approve late checkout.
3. Valet parking is available for $20 per hour or $60 per day. The folks working at the valet were not friendly.
4. Free breakfast is average at best., The scrambled eggs were dry, the potatoes ok, and the waffles overly sweet. Only one type of yogurt, and limited pastry options.

Rooms are pretty decent, but the area has problems. Went outside to walk to the grocery store only to see a vagrant masturbating just outside the hotel. The one evening we chose to use the pool it was full of people listening to loud music on Bluetooth speakers while ‘dancing’ provocatively, really not family friendly.

The breakfast is standard Marriott fare—dry potatoes, instant eggs, pancakes and sugar cereals.

The bar downstairs was frequently sold out of most bottles.

One highlight was the valet service was prompt and polite.

Transformed a 3 day LA business trip into a family vacation with my wife and daughter. We had a great time. Loved this Residence Inn LA Live. Great room. Very spacious. Clean. We've stayed at various Residence Inn's across the USA and the breakfast restaurant area was by far the greatest, finast, and most upscale we've ever experienced. The food was amazing. Staff was very professional and accommodating. Special "shout out" to two staff members - Luis Tobar (Dual Rooms Operations Manager) and James Williams (Front Desk Associate). Both went above and beyond to ensure a pleasurable and comfortable stay for my family. Thank you so much.

We stayed here 9 nights . The hotel room was clean, nice and spacious. Amazing hotel Housekeeper's . They always change our bed cover & bed sheets everyday & make our room very clean . The location is just perfect for a walk around downtown. Near in Bus Stop , Metro. The hotel staff was really kind and willing to attend any request.Especially the front desk name LOUIE is very accomodating & kind & helpful.

I definitely would have given a 5 star review had it not been for a mishap with a charge that I never authorized for about $30. Apparently $30 is enough for the manager at this Marriott to make a big deal about and not refund me. Records show that I never authorized a $30 plus charge and I never signed for such a charge at their restaurant, but it came up on my bill when I checked out. I made them aware of this and instead of simply refunding me,the manager, Taylor Villalobos, decided to argue with me with repeated emails with receipts that just prove my point. It is very sad because I was so happy with this hotel until I noticed this charge that I did not authorize. One would think that $30 is not so much, and they would simply refund me or even just give me points for a future visit. As I said, I was so happy with the hotel. Otherwise , I would like to come back in January. Unfortunately, that did not happen. After the way the manager Taylor has treated me, I doubt I will be back. And I understand $30 is not a lot, but it's the principle. This hotel charged me for something that I never signed for and I never authorized. They have proof I did not do this, yet they still hold their ground, refusing to admit that they were wrong. That's an issue for me. I will be looking into Hilton for my future travels.

I checked in early. The room is ready. There was no fee for that. The staff is kind I got $30 to use for a drinks or food. In addition I got two free beer or wine. I’m so shocked. I am so excited!!! that was so nice. The room was so clean the hotel is safe there’s security you have to swipe your key to go up to the room so that was a good thing. The free breakfast was delicious. MJ check me and she was so kind friendly helpful. I will be back.
