Why is it that being a loyal customer isn't enough these days. Instead, he markets want you to use your phone to scan everything and buy a certain amount to get a massive coupon. I had my two young grandsons with me and I have severe arthritis. Do they really think I want to spend time scanning for what I want to buy! I don't have time and I don't feel great. So I left what I was going to buy and walked out. This is why I shop at Trader Joe's, Sprouts, and Grocery Outlet. The best prices and no need to use electronics. A phone number should be the only thing to put in as a loyal customer. Then give us the discount. I won't be back.

I came into the store today in a panic after i had locked my keys, wallet, and phone in the car (silly me). Still in shock, I walked inside to ask for help. MAURINE at the self-check out station went above and beyond to first check if I was ok, calm me down, and then problem solve. She was so pleasant and wonderful that it odd to say I ENJOYED this experience, however I knew God's hand was in my rescue. I retrieved my wallet and bought groceries as I got back on the road, in awe and gratitude for such a beautiful encounter and her commitment to customer service. Thank you so much for saving the day. Horrible experience. Every aisle is clogged with floor displays. Gridlocks shoppers. Restrooms require shoppers to find a very busy employee and beg for the access code. There's going to be people pooping on the floor.

The deli needs lots of help. Manager very unfriendly and there is never any deli salads in the case at a reasonable time. It’s a shame. Rafa and Paul are great I must say. But the manager never greeted me. He sliced my lunch meat placed it on the counter and walked away. Zero words from him.

On a positive note, the bakery, meat, dairy, front end and produce looked great with a helpful staff

This Ralph’s location just replaced all their carts, their card machines were updated at the self check out(might do apples pay now, will have to test and update). Staff is incredibly friendly.

Edit:
At the end of 2023 started a remodel and moved everything around. They don’t seem to have as much in stock, forcing me to switch to another grocery store. It’s a bummer it changed, it feels dirty and is NOT a benchmark compared to their competitors around town.

Edit 2024: 5 stars. Remodel done, don’t know where anything is but Ralph’s is back, customer service is another level compared to its competitors. Everyone is super nice, actually friendly and helpful. Albertsons should take notes.

This Ralphs is located right off the 101 in a good neighborhood. They always have what I need even though sometimes it's difficult to find the items I'm looking for. The prices are pretty comparable to Vons. Overall, I would recommend this store.

Selection is limited. I had to wait in line, along with many others, for much longer than average. On reaching the register, there was one poor employee. I didn’t see a single other employee in the entire store. Ralph’s needs to support their employees by having more employees present.
