We purchased a vehicle through their platform, only to discover they failed to provide the title — something that is legally required for ownership transfer. Weeks have passed with no resolution, no updates, and no accountability. We’ve had to chase them repeatedly with emails, and all we receive are vague excuses and delays from representatives like Dave Varshock, who has failed to follow through despite numerous follow-ups.

This is not just inconvenient — it’s financially damaging. We’ve been unable to use or register the vehicle due to this negligence, costing our business both time and money.

To make matters worse, much of the equipment they sell is misrepresented. Machines described as “good condition” arrive with mechanical issues or missing components. There seems to be zero vetting or transparency in what they list.

Purple Wave clearly does not stand behind their sales, nor do they demonstrate even basic customer service. The entire process feels like a bait-and-switch.

If you value your money and sanity, look elsewhere. This company cannot be trusted.

Would give 0 stars if I could. A vehicle I purchased on Purple Wave was advertised as operational. I called the seller prior to bidding, who assured me nothing was wrong with the vehicle besides what was listed on Purple Wave. After Purple Wave had my money and I had picked up the vehicle, it broke down 11.2 miles from the pickup location and had to be towed across state lines to get it home. Purple Wave and the seller refused to work with me on repair/towing costs. Some people have good experiences with Purple Wave but mine was abysmal. Apathetic business practices detached from the concept of good faith and fair dealing.

This particular post is for my most recent purchase on Purple Wave.
I've purchased many items from PW and for the most part have been satisfied with the service provided (although the 10&20% seems to be a little steep) but with one of my most recent purchases I have been waiting, going on 2 months for the title! PW has blamed the seller for improperly filing out the paperwork not mailing it with the proper carrier. They also stated that I live in a state that is difficult for title paperwork (something that should be disclaimed on the website).
I've contacted PW at least 3 times and have been given several different answers and timelines of when this will be resolved, the last person I spoke with seemed to not share the same urgency as me and was supposed to put me in contact with someone who is in charge of complaint resolutions but haven't heard back from anyone....!
Anyway I'm on the verge of losing a work contract due to not having the trailer that has been bought and paid for and my frustration level is increasing!

Buyer beware….I bought a truck through the purplewave auction site and the information on the listing was misrepresented and cost me a significant sum of money to fix. They took pictures and have a listing of all the areas of concern; however, do a poor job actually noting defects or concerns. Transmission coolant lines leaking and puddling - fairly basic when it shows up on the ground. This ultimately leads to higher prices and bids and more revenue for the company. They responded to my concerns and basically said there is nothing we can do. Just be cautious and inspect each item thoroughly, dont take the listing contacts advice…

I recently won an auction regarding a vehicle in KS. Trying to arrange pickup of my vehicle I was informed I would need an additional Permit (issues by Purple Wave) in order to drive the vehicle home, even though I had an existing automobile insurance policy in Kansas. This information is not disclosed anywhere in relation to the purchase, in order to obtain the document you must submit PII protected information, Purple wave could not tell me what happens with my personal data
