Great meats and toppings for sandwiches, the bread is brutally underrated and nothing like the images online for a $$ sandwich. We have such great local shops if the Deli doesn't make their own bread. Hoping you'll partner with Radio or Nick+Sons for stronger bread.

The roast beef sandwich and the turkey with bacon jam sandwich are so good, as is all the other items on their menu. High quality meat and well trained, friendly staff.

Please don’t complain about prices. Meat at this quality, procured from well vetted, ethical farms just costs more- land, labor, feed, operations, people have no idea how expensive it is to run farms at this level, nor do they understand how much better it is for our environment and food systems. You get what you pay for. So pay top dollar for top food.

Agree with the comments below that the roast beef sandwich is great, but now I want to comment on their other meat. I’m eating a delicious flat iron steak that I seared in chive butter and plated with veggies from the farmer’s market in Prospect Park. The meat is so fresh — it’s perfectly delicious. Thank you!

Let me begin by saying that my wife and I think that Prospect Butcher is one of the best butcher shops in central Brooklyn. The staff is terrific and the quality of the meat and dry goods is excellent. That will help explain why we were so surprised this afternoon. My wife decided to test out the Meat Kit Subscription, a "curated monthly meat kit program" that promises "a handcrafted postcard recipe, a skillfully crafted write up from Jacob, and enough meat and dry goods to feed a family of 4!" We were eagerly looking forward to our first pickup this evening and were startled to find such meager fare. The kit falls short in both scale and value. While technically it provides 4 (nice-looking) duck legs for 4 people, I guess they'll have to split the beer. And the $85 monthly charge apparently purchased $30 in duck and roughly $17-18 in dry goods. We really love supporting local businesses but the economics of this really don't work. Bit of a bummer, really.

If PPB ever closed I think we would have to leave the country! Such great quality meat and extras too. So grateful to have you in the neighborhood!

The barbacoa is to die for!!! You’ll never buy meats from a grocery store again. Everything is fresh, local, DELICIOUS, and sustainably sourced. They have all sorts of cuts and mixes of pork, beef, chicken, duck, sausages, dried/cured meats, rabbit, and broths. The employees are really friendly too. Just come here - you won’t regret it!

Heavenly air-chilled meat, sandwiches, curation of pantry items.. Omg and the lard cookies and lard biscuits. I’m eating a heated up biscuit rn and 😌it’s just the best. Nothing else compares. No one does it better than Prospect Butcher

An absolute gem!!! Super helpful staff. I went in for tomahawk steaks and even though I did a bit of research before going in, he took his time to explain the cut of meat. He also made sure to explain portion size and selection. Even though I didn't get a "tomahawk steak" the end product was totally worth it. See for yourself!!!
