Chicken fried steak sandwich, huge off the bun very tender breading tasty and very good French dip meat had a good taste to it grilled chicken breast very tender , chocolate, meringue, pie, homemade yum yum yum , all reasonable price, definitely worth a stop if in the area

Was packed locals and tourists. 10 min wait then 40 min. to get Hamburger & fries and Chicken fried steak. Ice tea was delicious. Burger was average for $10, idk? CFS. was hand breaded nice size and good smothered in okay white gravy. Average fries. Service was awkwardly slow, seemed to be an under staffed kitchen. Other tables were offered dessert pie, we were not. Pie looked good, but by that time we were just ready to leave. It's cash only, probably for the best.

FANTASTIC!!! Great service, food excellent and cheerful atmosphere.
I can see why this place is so busy!

Also, I shopped in the downtown area all morning and asked for a restroom in every place I spent money. (Because it annoys me when people use the restroom and do no business.) Rainbow Cafe finally had one. That may not be a big thing to many but yall, I am a nearly 50-year old Mom and I cannot last all day so THANKS for the restroom!! ?

I will absolutely be back!! Food is GREAT!!!

Walked across the street from Nancy's inn ,simply awsome person. Ordered the meatloaf special, nothing special at all, to much breading, fat. Went back for breakfast totally different atmosphere. Lively, perky, great service. Food was great an good portions. Fried grits, go figure, but great. Super friendly . Would get their early as this is the locals hot spot.

Wanted to like this place. But the food was just OK and the service was terrible. People who came in two tables behind us had finished their meal and left before we ever got our food. My omelet was good, and the biscuits were really good, but my wife's plate was sad, unless you love undercooked white limp hashbrowns.

We'll go elsewhere.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at PJ’s Rainbow Restaurant! From the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the incredible food, everything was perfect. The highlight of the meal was definitely Ms. Rita’s pies—absolutely divine! Each bite was a slice of heaven. You can truly taste the love that goes into every pie she makes. Whether you’re looking for a hearty meal or just craving something sweet, PJ’s Rainbow is the place to be. Highly recommend!
