This is review is a year late (sorry!), but it speaks volumes because my family and I still reminisce about our visit there last April!
First of all, the photos don't do justice to the accommodation. It is spacious and cozy. We did not do much cooking there but there is a full kitchen. The bathroom is a bit small but suited our needs for a short stay for a family of 5.
The property is beautiful and one of my favorite memories was walking up to the hilltop and seeing the breathtaking view! There is no shortage of space for little kids to run and it's mesmerizing to watch the hundreds of sheep grazing on the hills.
David and Caroline are very welcoming and friendly. You can tell that they are very hard workers and do almost everything around the farm themselves. They let us participate in the chores for the day, which is whatever that needed to be done, from sheep counting and marking, moving them from one pen to another and feeding them with Caroline, to fixing plumbing issues and broken fences with David. We got to watch their horses get a new set of horseshoes by a blacksmith and give them a bath. We were also free to walk into the pens, as long as you remember to lock the gate, and sit with the lambs and sheep and pet them (if you can get them to come close enough!). The two sheep dogs were very friendly and playful and it was fascinating to see them at work herding the sheep!
We missed seeing other animals, but depending on the season, they would have piglets, chicks and turkeys, etc.
We miss Owens Farm - my kids talk about it every so often. We will definitely make a trip back soon!

Our family had a great time here. We enjoyed participating in the farm work, we loved walking around and exploring the farm, Dave and Caroline were wonderful hosts, and the loft was comfortable. We will definitely be coming back again next year. Keep in mind that the work/activities/help that you are doing around the farm are things that they need done and not just something that they make up to keep you busy, so depending on when you go, they may have different things that need tending to. While we were there, we helped unpack baby chicks, move some baby turkeys and herd some sheep in from the field to be weighed and checked. We learned a lot about what it takes to do what the Owens do and came away with a much greater appreciation for farmers like them.

We did a farm stay at Owens Farm and LOVED IT! My kids (elementary and middle school aged) couldn't get enough of hanging with all the animals, and didn't want to leave. Caroline and David are really friendly and shared so much interesting information about the farm and animals. We loved helping to move the lambs and taking on whatever small tasks were available.

Great stay and great pork! We enjoyed feeding and mobbing the pigs. Coaxing barn cats for some pets. And watching Caroline move the sheep to the next field. It was quite a memorable experience!

I stayed at the farm in their loft with my family for 3 three nights and two days. We had a toddler, 6 year old, and teenager. It was an adventure for all of us. No one wanted to go home. This will be a memory we will treasure for years to come!

Very rude owner! Apparently has a bad reputation amongst neighbors for being selfish and arrogant. Ridiculous prices on meat.
