We visited here on June 8 while on a bicycle trip and were amazed at the amount of "stuff" on display. While it was well laid out in a number of rooms, the sheer amount of things on display was a bit overwhelming. The staff was friendly and each item that was donated or on loan had a note attributing it to the person who donated it. In most places people keep these things in their attic but in Walden, they keep them in this museum! Kind of quirky but well worth the visit.

This museum pleasantly surprised me! It's huge and chock-full of artifacts and relics from the pioneers of North Park. The rooms are well-curated and have a variety of old stuff on display. The museum staff person, I believe her name was Susan(?), was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting history as well as present day Walden. Great local gem!

This place was fantastic! Decided to visit on a day trip while camping at State Forest State Park and so glad we did. Admission is by donation only and the woman who worked there was so friendly and enthusiastic. Lots and lots of fun stuff to look at, plus she encouraged my son and his friend to interact with many of the displays so it wasn’t a ‘don’t touch’ experience. The kids wanted to stay all afternoon and I wish I would have allotted way more time than the hour+ that I did.

We have been traveling in Colorado for a month. Walden is a gem!! And the museum is amazing! Our guide, Suze, was so fun and interesting. This is a place every one should visit.

Must visit and worth the scenic drive. Suze was an excellent guide and knew every detail of the area. We will definitely come back to allow more time to see all the rooms and artifacts of pioneering history. (It's worth the drive just to see the manual dishwasher)

This collection is amazing. The sheer size is mind blowing. The families of this area were more than generous in their donations. Plan on spending some time here if you want to really see everything. Extremely impressive and the gentleman who was there on the day I visited was friendly and very welcoming. You can tell just by being in here that this small community is very close to one another and that Walden is a great place to be.

Amazing place ! Numerous rooms and spaces filled with so much history! You can spend a half hour or a half day. Supported by donations - don't be a cheapskate. Highly recommended.
