10/13/23- I found this by accident listening to a radio commercial about Poke at Sagaya.
I met Justice who said he makes the Poke and it's a Hawaiian dish. I have a lot of Hawaiian and Polynesian friends in Utah but I don't eat it. I had no choice today because Justice shared a sample of his Poke and it's delicious ?
I told him I liked the spicy best. I'm glad he let me try it because now I am hooked.
They have cooked food upfront and lots of hard to find groceries. I hope they recognize Justice because he gives awesome customer service!

It is known for its quality seafood selection. Their food court is always packed, which means their food is good. Personally, I'm a big fan of their poke. Just know that it is not just an Asian store. You can find a variety of products from different countries that you cannot find in regular stores.

I went into the fish department. They need a take a number system to be served because there was almost two fights caused by people cutting to the front of the line and not waiting at all. Certain people just went from the back of the line to the front of the line in front of other people waiting and the staff just helped the line cutters. People were getting really mad because the people cutting line were requiring the same services or product as the people waiting. This happened at two different visits to me on the same day, Saturday. The first time 3 people cut the line. The second time 2 people cut the line. In the parking lot, one person who had waited a long time confronted a line cutter. The situation turned ugly, especially when the lady told the man, I can cut in line, the staff is my cousin This will be the last time I visit and buy anything (today’s bill was over $300) from the fish department until the staff treats everyone fairly. I enjoy your fresh product. I do not enjoy the atmosphere, which may be a little racist and confrontational because the people cutting line were mostly of one race and very inconsiderate. If the staff cannot keep track of who was there first, then they need a take a number system. If the staff knows people are cutting line and not speaking up, the staff needs retraining because today your store lost at least two good customers, one being me.

We like this place. We usually go for fresh fish/seafood and Asian ingredients. Not the best place for desserts or sushi but that's just our preference. I also just wished Google would Update their hours correctly for the Summer. They're Open Mon-Sat from 7am-11pm and Sundays from 8am-10pm. Although, their hours do change in the Winter Time. Otherwise, pretty good Asian Store.

Incredible selection of foods I did not know existed. Seemingly good prices, as well. On a particular note, the beef tri-tip steak was FANTASTIC! Flavorful and tender, went back for more a week later - unfortunately, none in the cooler. Had I known...

Great produce/wide selection of unusual vegetables. Any Asian sauces you can imagine, great for ethnic foods and snacks. Eat-in deli and coffee bar. Prices vary, some are cheaper than major stores others are not.

New Sagaya is the place for prepared foods, fresh seafood and high quality beef. The produce is excellent and they carry many items that those who enjoy Asian cooking. The staff there are always kind and helpful and the store is easily navigable. Their pastries and catered products through l’aroma bakery are always excellent...we especially love their cheerfully decorated and delicious sugar cookies! Try the eggplant or salmon pate as well...you will not be disappointed.
