What an incredible experience at this winery! We had a tasting scheduled first thing in the morning and arrived a bit early. The door was locked, so we sat by the Koi pond and enjoyed some peaceful Zen moments. It didn't take long before the door was opened, and we were greeted by Michael, who was to be our host. We had an early taste at the bar towards the front, and while talking to Michael, Mark Neal and Zeus, who is always with Mark, walked through as they headed off towards winery business (it was harvest season while we were there.) We enjoyed a facility tour, learning everything from the machinery used during harvest and how good grapes are separated from bad grapes (an optical sorter) to the labeling process. I love that this winery is Biodynamic and certified organic, so you can easily believe this wine is good for you! After the tour, we completed our visit with a tasting on the patio, which was exceptional! Michael was a consummate host with a robust depth of knowledge and extraordinary attention to his guests.

We reserved in advance for a wine tasting on Monday morning and showed up to find the doors locked and no one site to greet us. We had to call and was told they had “forgotten” about our reservation and wouldn’t be able to accommodate us. We drove an hour to get there. In addition, our debit card was still charged for the tastings we never received and we are having to contest the charges now. Very unprofessional behavior and very disappointing experience!

These guys are really passionate about wine making, and their cabs are to die for. Michael really knew his stuff, and their grounds are absolutely amazing. A+ experience.

Wow! The wines and estate were out of this world. This was our favorite stop and their 2019 rutherford dust cab was the favorite from our trip. Most likely going to join the wine club. Michael McFarren was AWESOME!

Visited Neal in October 2022. Nice low key tasting experience. Beautiful grounds and terrace. Was given a tour of their cave, wine making operation and history of their farm which was interesting. Purchased a few bottles of their Vermentino which was very nice and refreshing.

Way above average small batch wines from one of the few farm-to-bottle winemakers left. We thought the higher elevation location might translate to great views. Not so much. But we found our wine tasting guide Malcolm to be very entertaining and knowledgeable. The place is charming in a low key and unpretentious way.
