I can say that the chicken certainly are happy and well taken care of. Years ago I wanted chicken in a contest and after some time we realize we do not have the space to properly care for her. Luckily my family knew somebody at this farm and we were able to leave our chicken here to have a happier life. Happy chicken = good eggs.

Don't waste your time purchasing eggs. I texted the owner to come by and pick up eggs. They never came out with the two dozen eggs I requested even after telling me they were going to put in the red cooler. We texted her and they never answered. Very in considerate and very rude. We waited for 20 minutes. What a waste of a trip

I placed a phone call to Morehouse farms around noon today. The voice-mail was not set up so I hung up, unsure if the number listed on Google was even correct. Roughly an hour later I received this text in response. Since it seems I cannot post any photos, and cannot post the screenshots, a transcript will have to do.
EDIT- I realized the photo had to be posted separately. Its there now, so no one can question the validity of this review.

MOREHOUSE- Saw that you called... please text.
ME- Is this Morehouse Farms?
MOREHOUSE-Yes
ME-I am wondering if you take roosters. I got chicks from Agway about 5 months ago and I just wanted hens for eggs. I was told that some local farms will take roosters.
MOREHOUSE (4 hours later)- No one wants roosters except to eat.
(Seriously?)
ME-wow, your enthusiasm towards customers is really something. Thank you for your help.
MOREHOUSE- The reason is I get calls daily to take roosters. Most towns or neighborhoods don't allow them as the crowing starts at 4:30am. Customer service does not include taking roosters from people who should have done their research prior to getting livestock.
ME-I'm not sure what a town policy has to do with my question. I was told they were all females. I'm not understanding how that results in my deserving to be spoken to this way. And customer service doesinclude being polite. Texting, "No, I'm sorry we do not accept roosters," would have sounded polite and taken far less time. Its a shame you found it necessary to take the extra time to be so rude. And again. I do appreciate your help. Enjoy your evening.

Texting in response to a business call is odd, but if it had been professional, it would have been one thing. Perhaps a "Hello, this is ____ from Morehouse Farms. I apologize, but I am currently unable to accept a phone call. Is a this an appropriate time to text?"

God forbid I inconvenience this business employee (if this was the owner, that's even worse) by looking into rehoming my rooster to a place that may actually have a use for him as opposed to culling him, was suggested to me, and as many people end up doing. Its an egg farm. I presume they need roosters to get eggs. Forgive me for thinking I may be doing a good thing here. I am not sure why they even mentioned town ordinances. They didn't even ask where I live, nor inquire if I had even knew of my towns policy about owning roosters, so that judgement was completely irrelevant, nor did it have anything to do with my question in the first place. Regardless of how often they get these calls, it doesn't excuse it. There was no reason to be condescending and treat me as a complete idiot "for not doing my research." On what, exactly, I'm not sure.
I would never patronize this business, nor recommend it based on this call. I have worked in customer service for 20 years and have NEVER spoken to a customer this way. The lack of professionalism is mindblowing. I am surely not the first person who has been spoken to this way, and I doubt the last. Even if their business is successful, it could be even more so, had they the courtesy to handle communications in a professional manner.
