I have never posted a bad review on any business in my life. With that being said, this will be my first.
We recently had a whole cow processed at Meatheads (588lb hanging weight) we requested that the whole lion, and filet be removed, and left unfrozen so we can cut our own steaks. We do this every year, and have been for a long time. Upon receiving our meat we only got half if our loin, and two large pieces of hind quarter! We brought the issue up to Meatheads, and the politely informed us that their "new" butcher said the hind quarters are in fact the loin, and can do nothing about it. We also wanted the liver, and ox tail, apparently almost 1000lb cow ( live weight) only has a 4lb liver, and 1lb of tail according to these guys. Personally, I'd have a hard time believing a 12 year old processing his first deer would get the "back straps" confused with hindquarters, let alone a professional butcher shop. Do better MEATHEADS......

Stopped here in route home to Pittsburgh to get lunch. The lunch meat was fantastic quality. I also purchased their pork bark which I loved much better than jerky because it wasn't overly salty or tough to chew. The locally source jarred dilly beans are to die for. Will stop again on my way through to Allegheny National Forest.

I have mixed feeling about the place. The meat cases are always full and loaded with amazing meats. But the last month or so the milk, bread, and grocery items always seem to be out. We used it as a one stop shop for most of our house hold needs but now I have to go to other places to get milk and even some deli meats and cheese because they are out. The staff in the store is always nice and very welcoming. The butcher will talk to you and help you with any cuts you need. We love meatheads but we are kinda conflicted since they seem to be out out grocery items.

Went to purchase some pork products to try for an upcoming butcher job. Very nice and clean establishment. Store was super nice and had lots of product. Meat cuts seemed ok, the pork held a little more fat than I'd like, remember you purchase by the weight, this includes fat and bone. But all in all it seemed cut good. Brought home some bacon and Breakfast sausage. Bacon was very bland and lacked flavor big-time, sausage was good, not the best I've ever had but was definitely good. I ASSUME their ham would have the same lackluster taste as the bacon. Their pork bark and beef bark are dang near to die for. All on all nice place, clean and decent. Wouldn't take a pig there to be butchered. Rating was for the cleanliness of the facility and the store selection. Staff was super helpful and kind. Prices were comparable.

First time in to Meatheads retail store. I purchased some NY strip steaks for grilling with my family. Best quality steaks I've bought in a long time. Grocery meats don't even compare to these melt in your mouth NY strip steaks. Great prices, super nice staff. You can't go wrong and I know where I'll be getting meats for grilling this summer.
