Call him the day before. He doesn't have the wigglers on site. He has to pack and prepare ahead of time. Bring cash. Latest is 70$ for about 1lb of worms/1000ish. Way better than getting transported mailed stressed out worms.

They are thriving. He feeds them primarily grains. My wigglers bedding is made of thinly shredded cardboard, organic potting soil and coconut coir in a 20 gallon tub (drilled with holes everywhere) .

Put out just a handful of water soaked kitchen scraps (sourdough, banana, cabbage, coffee grounds). Then layer with more bedding like 2-3 inches or so. They like it dark and not too wet. They breathe through their skin.

Don't expect a ton of worm castings right away. It's a patient process that takes months. I feed them twice a week and lightly spray the top of the worm bedding. I cover with a cotton towel for plenty of ventilation. Stays outside in the shade. Keep them cool.

I love checking on them and having my kids be connected with nature :).

The goal is to put them in a 40 gallon tote(s) when their population increases so I can get bigger and faster worm casting yields.

Excellent place to buy worms locally. Remember to call a day ahead to get them. Well worth the drive. The worms were small, but grew almost overnight with food and good environment. Excellent wigglers.

Went there for some big fat night crawlers for fishing with the grand kids. First I had to buy 500 worms will good day of fishing could go they that many I guess. I was assured these were a bag of nice worms. They were so small you couldn’t even get them on the hook. We had to go pay 5 dollars for ten night crawlers so we could at least try and fish.

How do you say you have a limited amount of worms and when I ask for 100 you say you only have packs of 500? Can’t just put 100 worms in a bag?
