Food is great, staff is always super friendly. We go for wing nights and their brunches. Beer & mimosa flights never disappoint! Even when the place is packed and service is held up, they hold it together in there. Atmosphere is relaxed, music is far better than the normal that gets played in this area.

Service was wonderful. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Limited menu, typical brew food. Only one dessert offering that we could see. The cheese steak tacos were a little heavy on the balsamic and a little too done. Overall a good experience.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have tried several of the beers, sofa king, Johnny U are my favorite. The light menu is excellent some of my favorites are the short rib, breaded wings, flat bread, mozzarella sticks. The Philly cheesesteak rolls are my families absolute favorite. The place still has that old Maxies feel, there is an interesting view of back brewery from the dinning room. They also have a great area for outdoor seating.

If you're looking for an authentic location to visit when in Shippensburg, give Maxie's a shot. You will not regret it.

Update 10/21/22:. Just went back again tonight. This place is the Gem of Shippensburg! Walked in the door and was greeted as soon as we walked in. We sat right down at the bar and the bartender (Jackson) recommended two beers and food for my wife and I. The waitress (Libby) we had before remembered us and said hello right away. I couldn't believe she remembered us from two weeks ago.

We ordered some food (the philly cheese steak egg rolls and the chicken tacos). I was kind of questioning what the food at a craft bar could have, but I was so surprised! The flavors were on point, and the portion sizes were perfect! We had some leftovers to bring home.

The Manager, Austin, was very attentive. He kept the whole place running smoothly. He also gave us a rundown of the whole history of the location.

Overall, I love this place, and I can't wait to go back!

Service fantastic! Beer amazing! Live music made our night. This is going to be our new hangout spot. Maxie if they haven't reached out yet, give Tammy and Randy Karstetter a shot as well for music.

After being a fan of the old Maxies, I've given this place a try a few times since then. I can say that their food is fine. The atmosphere is fun and the waitstaff try so hard to get an impossible job done. However, I've been there for brunch several times and the wait for basic brunch food is well over an hour. That's... just nuts. To those of us who have been in the food service industry, it really speaks to the kitchen manager. It's brunch... easy food. As I said, the waitstaff really is wonderful but the food is only so-so and the beer is nothing to speak of. A MUCH better brunch can be found about 30 minutes up 81 especially when wait times for a table are often an hour and you get meh food. (PS Why do Ship restaurants suffer so badly)
