Ordered a half a cow and half pig. So far have tried the ground beef, T-bone steak, pork chops, bacon and sausage. All of it is amazingly fresh and tasty. The ground beef actually tastes like you are eating a ground steak, not the fatty nonsense that you get in the store. Kelsey was super friendly and helpful as well. Def would recommend buying from her.

Kelsey’s Maiden Creek beef is truly top quality beef. I was looking for a source of quality grass fed beef from a local farmer and boy did I find one.
The 1/2 beef and whole pig I purchased from Kelsey is outstanding.
I can rest easy knowing where my food comes from and the quality in which it was butchered, vacuum sealed and stored prior to pick up.

Kelsie at Maiden Creek Beef was the best. Quick to return calls and answer questions. I went researching places to get a quarter cow. We were mostly doing it to hopefully get “cleaner” meat (and especially liked the idea that the ground beef was coming from one animal and not 100). Maiden Creek Beef seemed small enough to care and honest enough to produce good meat. I did not have expectations that the meat would be dramatically different in taste.

On the ground beef there didn’t seem to be a huge flavor difference (but to be fair we used it for tacos. Did not try hamburgers yet.) BUT…on the steak, HUGE flavor difference. I was very surprised. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Very tender and loads of flavor – and that’s with just salt and pepper (no rubs or sauces). We have eaten in a load of steak houses all over the country – these steaks were as good as the best of them.

It all came in 3 boxes – everything shrink wrapped and labeled with what it was and weight. Everything came frozen so it would be OK for our 3 hour ride home.

When we return for more beef, we plan on getting ½ pig as well. Fair warning – place your order about 4 weeks before you plan to pickup.

I asked for the organs and bones so I could also make stock and cat food. The owner was super helpful! Very knowledgeable and the product is fantastic. A perfect example of buy local and get better. Beef in the store does not look nearly this good and the price is more than fair! These are the stock bones, she saved me the best ones for stock!
