I really wanted to like this place, but all the wines were just...off. Another recent reviewer said they all tasted like they'd been open too long and that is absolutely true. The person working there made reference to a recent "upheaval," and maybe that has made a difference in how things are run. But there is some beautiful scenery out there, and it was pleasant to just sit out on their patio.

I’m really perplexed by this place. We stopped in as we like to check out the smaller wineries, often with great results. The space was lovely, views are serene, and my wife and I had a fun time. Had the wine been good, it may have been one of our favorite stops. I will also add that we enjoy most winemaking interpretations from the funky natural unfiltered blends to the more classic style Pinot, Syrah, Tempranillo etc.

The wine was tough to drink.
Legitimately unpalatable. Reading the other reviews, I have to think that we were receiving pours from bottles left open for too long. Every single pour had a similar off note. We would have brought it up during the tasting but were literally speechless.

I would definitely recommend the spot for a
Nice day. I’ll try and give the wine another try in the future and amend this if my opinion changes but it was really rough stuff.

In response to the owner: I don’t know what to tell you. We were certainly at Longsword. It was a very classic off taste that all of the wines had. My guess is the bottles had been open for 3-4 weeks minimum. Perhaps you should let your staff know of your 2 day policy because it doesn’t seem they got the memo.

Asked the owner what his favorite wine was, he told me “My favorite is the current one I have in my hand. Asking me what my favorite wine is like asking me who is my favorite kid.” I still don’t know if he has kid. He also told me not to tell people about this place as he doesn’t have enough supply so hopefully he doesn’t see this review.

Of all the vineyards in the area, it's not often I enjoy thoroughly every wine in the flight. I have not yet had a wine here I was anything less than delighted with. The views are simple and great. It's fun to see people flying down in. The staff is friendly and are effective salespeople.

My partner and I rocked up to this place and had an amazing time! The owner greeted us and was very hospitable and enjoyable to hang out with, his dog, Rogue, was a treat too. The wine was amazing! It was a tie between the Merlot and the Syrah and after much debate, the Merlot won. He said that there's a kite festival and a paragliding tournament that happens there too. That would be cool to see! I can't wait to share this with more people. Definitely check out this little slice of heaven.
