There isn't a venue like Live House in LA. It's brand new and it's simply gorgeous. Their lounge is amazing for intimate shows like the one I went to that focused on meditation and ambient music. Their main performance hall is insane. The SOUND. Wow. Hearing George Clinton through their sound was unreal. Who knew Hollywood had this gem right on Highland?

Blackbear (one of my favorite artists) was there and I went to see him with my boyfriend and a few friends. The light effects were really well done and the quality of music was outstanding. 10/10 would go again

This is truly one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen in LA, let alone just in Hollywood. The sound system and lighting are well above-average..the main room sounds insanely good, and the lighting is complex but not over the top (though I'm sure it could be if you wanted it to!). The lounge is tastefully decorated and comfortable, and it's super cool to be able to watch the dance classes going on through the glass on Highland. MI has really outdone themselves with this one.

This review is based on my experience hosting an event at the venue.
Pros:
1. Venue pace is great. Plenty of room and even more rooms you can additionally rent.
2. The staff is super nice and helpful.
3. We were allowed to leave stuff behind and pick it up the next business day. That was AMAZING because we were pooped by the end.

Cons:
1. It’s pretty expensive. Not sure if that’s average pricing in that area but we host yearly fundraisers in LA and this one venue was 3-4 x more expensive. Also, each room is an additional cost x time occupied.
2. The venue provides WiFi but it doesn’t work. Like at all.
3. Parking is a PAIN!!

I love this place. The lounge is very clean and cozy. Also, the sound system of the main stage is amazing!! This is one of my favorite venues in LA.

Live House is the musicians venue. From it's launch in late 2018 with a Steve Vai Jamathon, to the recent Jammcard and Roots events, the musical talent is what Live House is all about - regardless of genre or celebrity. As others have said, the sound system is state of the art and the space brand new but still intimate. Go to be inspired.

this is a pretty cool space - has a bit of a community theater / arts vibe, likely due to its attachment to local performing arts schools... but a good technical setup and relatively parking-friendly location!
