We recently had the pleasure of dining at Limoncello, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! As it was our first visit, we were thrilled by the warm and inviting atmosphere that welcomed us as soon as we walked in.

The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish showcasing incredible flavors and fresh ingredients. Every bite was a delight, and it truly exceeded our expectations.

What made the night even more memorable was the outstanding customer service provided by Victor. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home. His attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for the menu really enhanced our dining experience.

Overall, our night at Limoncello was fantastic, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a wonderful meal and excellent service! Thank you, Victor!

I went for a date nite with the lady and we were both super excited about the mushroom appetizer that we had had on separate occasions. Once we arrived the mushroom appetizer had changed so we tired the new one.... Very underwhelming. She ordered a salad that was mostly lettuce with very little toppings. The minestrone soup was also 99% both, but the most edible thing we had. I ordered the Pollo Frances. The chicken was very dry and tough. The "white wine sauce" was so watery it had no flavor to drown out the dry chicken. The mashed potatoes were dry like popcorn as if they were out of a bag. Over all was a terrible experience.

The food is fair-priced and excellent.
The atmosphere is authentic and reminds me of how it really is to eat in Italy.
If you get Roberto as a server, you will have an especially pleasant experience. Roberto is a true gentleman and one of the best servers you will find in any restaurant.

What an absolute gem! Haven’t experienced such lovely service in a long time—I felt like we were being hosted by friends who were genuinely pleased we’d stopped in. They went above and BEYOND for my 20 month old too! (Not always the automatic response to a toddler coming in, which I totally get!) They immediately shared some off-menu kid options, and when I ordered the (fabulous) limoncello martini for myself which comes with a POPSICLE in it they also brought out a non-boozy one for the baby too just because they could tell he was interested in it! Super super nice guys.

Atmosphere is bright and beautiful, very social feeling. Gorgeous decor. Food was delish and pretty to boot. Perfect fresh pasta. 5/5 all around!!

Cute restaurant and vibes! They did get busy after and obviously service lacked after! Food was A solid 9/10. If you can come earlier Fri - Sun would definitely recommend! Will be back! Francesca is an excellent and attentive server. We went back a second time and wish she waited our table 😫

A friend and I went late yesterday afternoon for dinner. My family is from Italy, so I am very picky about Italian food. I have to admit that this is the real deal. It is not the standard Italian-American food, but rather authentic and delicious. The owner is charming and the atmosphere reminds me of Southern Italy. I especially like how the menu is divided into the traditional “courses,” and there is no skimping on the portion size either. I will definitely return.

Limoncello Modern Italian Restaurant is in the heart of the La Mesa Village so there is only very limited metered parkings on the streets. However, there is a public parking lot about a block away from the restaurant. When we got there around noon, we saw only two tables were occupied and they looked like locals. We liked the pretty decor and relaxing ambiance of the restaurant. Our waitress was very welcoming and attentive. The lasagna bolognese was outstanding even though the portion was quite small. The spaghetti Nero was savory and has generous amount of seafood. One of the table mates didn’t like the classic carbonara as it was very salty so our friendly waitress had the kitchen remake the dish. However, when the chef reduced the salt, the dish lost the taste. The waitress noticed the displeasure from our table mate, so she told us that she could remove the dish from the bill or we could get another dish to replace it. We ended up replacing the dish. We were very impressed with our waitress’ amazing attitude and her willingness and desire to make things right for her customers. She took good care of us during our visit there and our dining experience memorable. It was a testament to the establishment that they value their customers. Big kudos! We will be back.
