My family visited the farm last summer and had a great time. We have been ordering from Lilac Hedge Farm home delivery for many months now and we cannot say enough about the quality of the meat, eggs, and honey! We have recently purchased additional pantry items and have been so pleased with those as well. We can’t wait for warmer weather so we can visit the farm stand again!!

We ordered the best of beef and best of the farm boxes. We wanted to order a 1/2 cow but realized there were parts of it that we wouldn’t use. I was really nice that there were other options for our family to choose. Shipping was fast. Quality of the meat is excellent. The breakfast sausages are my favorite so far! We will definitely be ordering again.

Our first monthly order came packed with a good variety of food. We ordered the large box, due to having young adults at home…kind of wishing there was an extra-large box option! So far we’ve tried the hamburger and some chicken, both of which were really good, and the pork loin that I had ordered. The pork loin was used to make carnitas, and was incredibly juicy, with a buttery flavor that you just don’t get with store-bought meats. Looking forward to this month’s delivery!!

Lilac Hedge Farm is such a wonderful part of our community! We have been visiting with our kiddos for several seasons, and love the ice cream and animals. The food, live music, and atmosphere are also fun and enjoyable. We recently started ordering meats from their subscription service, and we don't plan on going back to grocery store meats. While the beef and chicken choices we have tried are excellent, the blueberry maple breakfast sausage is out of this world. My only request is, please bring back touch-a-truck and other summertime kiddo events! So much fun!

I found this farm by accident. I loved their site and the choices of product. I have ordered chicken from them twice and am very happy with the items i received. Then I ordered he corned beef brisket. I don't complain and I write very few reviews but couldn't let this go. I asked for one size and then realized I needed more. They were very responsive and agreed to modify the cut to my needs. I asked for a 3.7lb piece and that is what I got. Today (Mar 17) I pulled it out to do some trimming (as always). There was no pickling package but when I looked at the site description, it never said there would be. I made my own pickling spices and all was heading in the right direction. I removed the meat from the wrapping and it was the ugliest fattest piece of corned beef I have ever seen. I trimmed away leaving a thin layer of fat cap attached. When I was finished my piece weight 2.71 lb! Ok, I will maike do. After cooking, the flavor was delicious but there was so much fat congealed and an entire layer between what seemed like two distinct muscles. When carving was complete, we barely had enough for two people. Flavor was delicious but so unsightly to carve. I will never order this cut from them again There was even a thick piece of fat folded over and under the meat contributing to the 3.7 original weight. Could have been so good. Sorry. And it cost $52. Part two: So after rmoving the additional fat between twso muschles I wanted to make Reubens with the remainder. So I sliced the pieces and all seemed fine. But after making the sandwiches and toasting them we tried to eat them. The flavor was great (my pickling spices) but the meat was mosty gristle. I have attached a gross photo of the part of the sandwiches we couldn't eat. Sorry Lilac farm no more brisket for us.

My daughter introduced me to Lilac Hedge Farm after she bought one of the boxes. I was impressed with the items and always wanted to support a local farm for meats, chicken, pork etc. so I decided to order. I received my box last week. It was on my doorstop right on time. So far we have had the chicken thighs, burgers and stew meat. The quality is exceptional. My husband is still commenting how the burgers were the best he has ever had.He is very picky about quality so that says a lot. About to have the pork chops tonight. I am so happy I decided to order. I am a subscriber now and look forward to future boxes. If someone is on the fence I would definitely try them out. I know you will not be disappointed.
