The food is out of this world! The experience is 5 stars!! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant I noticed the amazing atmosphere and the very friendly staff. The service from start to finish was amazing. The owner is so kind hearted and friendly. I would recommend this place a million times to everyone if I could. I can’t wait to dine here again. Thank you to everyone for an amazing experience.

A few things to keep in mind. Reservations are a must. The ambiance is old school charm.
Food is nothing revolutionary but you will leave full and satisfied. Although one of the few places in Vail you will find fried cauliflower, which was delicious.

A negative was that we stood around at the host stand for about 10 min before anyone ever came to see us. Staffing is always tough in report towns, so we didn’t let it bother us but it was definitely bothering some other patrons.

Overall, Lancelot delivers as a solid option for dinner in Vail.

Came here for dinner while visiting Vail and was told by many people to have at least dinner here. This place didn't disappoint.
Drinks were perfect and actually tasted like alcohol unlike most other restaurants.
Steak here is amazing. Super soft and fresh bread served at the table. Had a wonderful experience here and made our Vail trip complete. Thank you for the outstanding service

Overall great food and service. We started with some calamari. They were tasty and a fair portion for the price, I just wish they'd arrived a tad sooner. The tomato soup was good, but the clam chowder was absolutely delicious. The prime rib was very nice and a good portion for $47. The salmon was nice and tender; I just wish the sides had been more interesting than just a bunch of green beans and asparagus. As for desserts, the apple strudel was substantial and delicious, the crème brûlée was good but a bit small, and the brownie was a bit dry. Lastly, I tried the their twisted almonds old fashioned, which was pretty good, just a smidge too sweet.

The service was very attentive. Overall, we spent $270.22 for three people after tax before tip. It seems that if you order what they specialize in, you'll have an amazing experience.

Our last 2024 meal! It was amazing! We were able to sit by the bar. Service was courteous & friendly. The food was great. My French onion soup was served nice and hot, the Lancelot cut was 8 oz of perfection. So glad this was our last meal. Since I had to stay up till midnight, I had the espresso martini. It was just what I needed. Cheers to 2025!

The prime rib was perfectly cooked, if a little underseasoned (remedied with a bit of salt and pepper). Service was fantastic and the bar staff was engaging and fun. The vibe at the bar was great - good convos and interesting people. BTW, don't forget to ask about the off-menu prime rib cuts. Over-sized portions available for sure!

Check your Prime Rib before starting, if you order one.

I went with a group of friends and we ordered 5 Sir Lancelot Cut (medium rare). They all came out very nice. When I am half done, I found that the meat on one side is medium well. I flipped it over and found that it's on the very end of the whole piece. In my opinion, they should not cut it so close to the very end. It's clearly a quality control issue. Luckily, it only affected me out of the 5 pieces we ordered.

Since I cannot finish the whole 10oz anyway, I stop eating the overcooked meat and told the waitress that the meat is overcooked on one side. A few minutes later, she came back and told me the chef apologizes. This makes me a little bit mad. If the chef really apologized, I expect the chef came and talked to me. It's clearly something happening regularly and the chef knows the QC problem. But I guess they probably care more about maximizing profit and sacrificing quality.

To be fair, the other food is good on general, but the chef/management does not respect the guests up to the standard.

Tried to make a reservation here via phone. The staff member who answered put me on hold for about 5 minutes initially, which was fine I understand they are busy. Once she answered again, she was insanely rude stating “I can’t help you we are closed on Sundays” when I did not request a reservation for a Sunday at all. She then stated she had multiple reservations available and then again put me on hold stating “I have people in front of me that need to me seated before this.” All I was trying to do was make a reservation that could have taken 1 minute if she treated me with any respect and handled the situation professionally. Safe to say Lancelot will not be getting our business during our Vail trip! Do better.
