Great meat market! Staff was really nice and the store was clean and the produce was beautiful as if was right out the field. Meat was perfectly sliced and was from what it appeared, presentable! Highly recommend this meat market..My dinner was delicious!!

We’ve been customers of La Venadita for many years, As my old review posted below, I had to update a new review because of what we experienced yesterday, We bought chicken legs, Ceviche and jaiva. It was all bad, we are only 10 minute drive from the market to our house, I open the bag of meat right away to clean it, to cook it, it smelled so bad it made me want to throw up, very gross, I’m sure the butcher smelled the meat when he put it in the bag, the ceviche and jaiva were also bad, we called them right away to let them know, we just were left grossed from this, we couldn’t think of going back to buy anything from here. After the many years, this being our best place for the meat. We will no longer buy or ever go back. This could of gotten all of us very sick. They need to be more careful.

When we lived in Torrance, we waited in long lines at the only Venadita Market then. Moving to Norwalk and having a market close by, is the best. There's no Big or small meat market has the quality of the Carne Asada they do! simply the Very BEST!! The Ceviche is the best also , haven't found another that compares.. Great Tasting Meat and Ceviche

Hands down this market has a variety of selections of meat, beer, and everything needed for a good BBQ. Staff very friendly and very helpful with your needs. If your looking for a great market to get your last minute items or need a few things for the week this is your place to go. Overall, very satisfied with the services and products this market has to offer.

I had buy before here and meat usually is fine. However, I had buy honeycomb tripe and I thought maybe the last time was too old but happen more than one time. The tripe was hard and it took about four hours to cook when I buy tripe to make menudo in Food 4 less usually take 1.5 hrs to cook. The tripe look too old but the person told me that it was good. I will not buy tripe here anymore.

The boss was friendly, he came out and introduced himself when i was there and he asked if I found what I needed. Tried some of the fresh salsa they make and the ceviche, so good. Also tried some nonalcoholic Stella Rosa, tasty stuff for mixing drinks. It might have been champagne. Anyway, bought a slab of pork belly. The butchers were friendly along with the rest of the staff. They turned me into a customer, will visit again real soon.

Best fresh made tamales in the area. Available to go. Good little bakery, but the tamales are pretty darn good. Think open 7 days a week. Tamales all the time. Worth a visit.

Has the store changed ownership or recipe for their Ranchera beef? This store used to have the best prepared Ranchera beef, I bought 7 lbs. of it yesterday and once cooked it didn't taste the same, the meat was dry and flavorless I notice it was also missing the oregano. I'm going to start going back to the original in Carson even though it's a lot further but hopefully the recipe is still the same.
