Would give zero stars if I could. Showed up to pick up my frozen order and it was sitting on the deck in 90 degree weather. Asked the guy how long they were sitting there and was told "I don't know". Asked for a manager and was told no manager in the warehouse. They didn't have any more in stock to replace the ones left on the dock in the heat. Unbelievable. Why would you put a customers frozen order out on a dock at 90 degrees. We couldve showed up 5 hours later for the order!!! Food safety is an issue here. I would not trust ANY food you buy here. It has either been left out to defrost and refrozen - not meeting serve safe laws. Please shop somewhere else. This place is not safe for our community to be eating from.

Always a pleasure. Check in is in the corner building. They have 3 buildings with docks so if you're not sure we're you need to be Check in First. Easy docking and good people working there.

John Gross & Co is a gem! The food is high quality and priced really well. I've had much success even finding hard to find items during Covid. The bulk sizes are perfect for a family with growing children who eat like it's their job. Excellent selection, friendly staff and phenomenal deals regularly! A+++

If you want to overpay for mostly frozen prepackaged meat them this is your place. They are in no way competitive with there prices. Go elsewhere.

Made a delivery here, guys were great and respectful. Plenty of room to back in. Had 07:00 appointment, got held up at UNFI. Shocker I know. Arrived at 08:00, door right away. Self unload or pay to have a lumper. Lumper was good price. Out in 45 mins

I want to thank John Gross and Co for being honest and accommodating business people. I learned about this grocery store during pandemic- since I could not locate bread yeast anywhere. 2lbs were more than i could use but the price was incredibly reasonable and I shared with others. This week I returned to buy some of their signature blend coffee(great price and coffee) and purchase a few small samples of other flavors. When I returned home I realized I had been charged for a lb.when I had only purchsed a 1/4 lb. Returining to the store yesterday the owner immediatrly made it right for my trouble and gave me extra coffee tot ry to boot. This was unexpected and I am grateful for the kindness. You have a customer for life!

John Gross company was built on the principle of customer service. To this day they believe in that principle. As a foodservice professional for almost 40 years, I have never experienced a company that goes more out of its way to cater to its clients. Friendly, honest, knowledgeable and commited to caring for their staff, customers and community. Cannot say enough good things about this company and its people.
