I came to the bakery 25 minutes before close and they no longer had anything out and were cleaning up to close the doors. They posted that they would be open and in my opinion that means you can still purchase items. Their door was wide open! I asked if they were closed and I was told “pretty much!” They had high reviews and I am from out of town. It would have been nice to be able to make a purchase.

When you're a foodie like me and you think you know food, you haven't lived until you've tried the French bakery items at Jane Ellen Bakery in San Jose, California.

The bakery is owned and operated by Jane Ellen, a master baker with a passion for creating delicious and beautiful pastries. The menu features a wide variety of French bakery items, including croissants, pain au chocolat, macarons, and eclairs.

I had the opportunity to try a few of the bakery's signature items, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. The sticky buns were flaky and buttery, the quiche was rich and the BEST I have ever experienced, and the lemon tart (#1 seller) were perfectly light and airy.

I highly recommend Jane Ellen Bakery to anyone who loves French pastries. The food is simply outstanding, and the owner is passionate about his craft. You won't be disappointed.

Jane Ellen is a coffee shop that I only discovered more recently, somehow it had been flying under my radar ?. The owner is very passionate and has a great selection of pastries and cakes to choose from, both sweet and savory. The house-made macaroons are very tasty. There is plenty of space which I feel could be utilized even better for a more varied and welcoming atmosphere, but still a nice place to hang out!

I adore this bakery-it's my favorite bakery in town, and I take great pleasure in supporting small family-run businesses. I visit almost every week, and I always get their almond croissants; they are so flavorful and moist at the center! Their macarons, cheesecakes, and cakes are also exceptional. I loved their macarons so much that I placed a large order for my wedding!

Jonathan consistently greets me with warmth and friendliness and makes each visit a joy.

No week feels complete without indulging in their almond croissants, so I often call ahead and place an order as they tend to sell out quickly!

This would be my go-to bakery from now on! I am more than happy that they accomodated my unexpected birthday cake need,with a witty wish on it. It is evident that their macarons require painstaking preparation , and they come in all sorts of wonderful flavors. The strawberries and cream birthday cake was a big hit as it tasted super fresh and wasn’t excessively sweet.

Finally a place in Cambrian Neighborhood with great pastries (both savory and sweet) and amazing looking Turkish delights. Love the ambience, and the decor both inside and outside and to top it all the service was great. 5 stars to Kylah.. she was so nice.

I ordered some quiches and pastries for a large group to each while getting ready for a wedding and everything came out delicious. The personal quiches were the perfect size. I also really liked the almond croissants.
