There is only a few meads I've not tried here and can honestly say I have a few handfuls that are my favorite. Including the aged traditional!

This place is a hidden gem! IronStone Meadery is perfect for people who want to try something different. The atmosphere is very Nordic. The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful, and the owner (who also makes all the Mead) is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I’ve had good mead ,great mead and mead make me wonder where was my weed ? This Ironstone vanilla mead was firmly grounded in the great category . It is easy to screw up Vanilla ,this vanilla infused mead was absolutely on point fruity fragrant very nice body and a truly inspired flavor balance . It was on the higher priced category but well priced for the quality and taste ( if you want hammered grab an olde English 40 ) if you want a premium experience sitting with family or offering hospitality to old friends grab some of this to have on hand . They are physically located in Edinburgh, I have not been there in the flesh , but after having it ,I am open to a road trip to experience more of his products . Another fine local business hand making a great product locally . And a thank you to the local honeybee population you make most eating and some specialty drinks possible and keep us all alive .

Very disappointed. Hitting different wineries and meaderies in the area, to close out the day we were going to Ironstone. Greeting was less than welcoming and told they didn't have time before close to do a flight pour. We are in more than 20 min before close.

They should post last call times.

If you've never tried Mead you have to visit this small, locally owned mead brewery. A touch of naughty, quirky, darkly highlighted fun time is to be had by all. Located IN the Greene Township building (don't listen to Google maps & drive slightly past the sign & turn onto the burgermeister's road!) Around the back to the sign that tells you that you've arrived at Ironstone Meadery & you're ready to send your tastebuds into Heaven! The small business that packs an amazingly great big punch!

It was recommended by at least 20 people to me to try this place out. I grew up in Fairview but live over an hour drive south of Erie now. However, the atmosphere, friendliness of patrons & staff, and amazing meals means that I will be returning AT LEAST once or twice a month just to enjoy some good mead, good company, and make some purchases. 😁👍❤️. The photo I included is what I tried on THIS trip. I also tried the Fehu. My 4 favorite, and the ones i bought bottles of to take home, were the Fehu, the Archaic Lust, the King Harald, and the Faelands. Lol.

Great wines! Mead wine is definitely an acquired taste and this was a great experience! Super friendly owners. Ambiance and signage were great!

The first time I have Ever had mead in my life and I am hooked, the owners are so incredibly nice and honest and really have a passion for mead. Every single mead I tasted was delicious and so much better than wine,do yourself a favor and visit this place,you will not be disappointed. Only thing I regret is not buying more than two bottles, oh and the crepes they were serving were gourmet and lovely chef as well. All around good time,I hope the business grows tenfold !!!!!
