Wowza!!! What a hidden gem. The eggs are top tier high quality. Thick shells and super rich yolks. The honey is so delicious. Haven't tried the butter yet but I will assume it's amazing. My kid had a great time feeding the goats, cows, and chickens. A wonderful little stop. Absolutely worth checking out. Bring cash and quarters for feed machine because I didn't see Venmo as an option.

I got scabies from touching the chickens. I didn’t touch other peoples animals or leave the house often as I am not working. It was 4 weeks after touching the chickens.

You can buy free range large brown eggs, fresh local honey, and sour butter here. Also there are a old school gum ball machine of chicken feed for 25 cent. Good roadside attraction.

I was introduced to Hicks Mountain Hens by a friend and decided to stop by—and I’m so glad I did! The chickens are raised with care, pasture-fed, and you can truly taste the difference in the quality. The eggs are fresh, organic, and absolutely delicious.

It’s also a great experience for families! My kids had a blast feeding the chickens and learning more about them. The place has a warm, welcoming, and down-to-earth vibe.

Just a heads-up—it’s a roadside booth with no cashier, operating on an old-fashioned honor system. It’s cash only, so be sure to bring some change! When I last visited, eggs were $12, butter was $15, and honey was $10, though prices may have changed.

If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by—you won’t regret it!
