I delivered here earlier today. The cows look happy and content. The air wasn't foul either...despite the large number of cows. The flies are annoying tho. Staff is friendly. Unloading is fast

The scene driving by Harris Ranch on I—5 is in stark contrast to what they present on their website in terms of animal welfare. The cows live in unsanitary, crowded conditions, waiting to die. I feel strengthened in my resolve to continue my vegan diet when confronting this heartbreaking reality.

Just drove fast on my way up 5. It’s so inhumane I was appalled at the sight. The smell is the least of these cows problems. They are PACKED in filth. I BeT the PeOpLe wHo cOmpLaiN EaT BeEf. Ok well I don’t and you can’t win if you do or you don’t. Regardless these cows deserve a much better quality of life. This place needs to be shut down for the unsanitary living conditions.

Breaks my heart ? into pieces seeing how these cows are living. They all look so depressed. It’s horrific. We need new laws to protect the welfare of these animals. They deserve to at least have the dignity to live a good life. Cows love shade, enrichment and kindness. Shame on this Farm Factory Practice for cramping millions of cows like sardines in the heat. California please make New Laws for these Cows. Please! Anyone that has the power to make changes.

Uncountable number of cows standing in their own filth. The smell carries for dozens of miles upwind. This is NOT sanitary, humane, or healthy. Absolutely disgusting. Every single cow standing in dung.

I am more of a chicken guy. I just prefer the lean protein and blank canvas that a good fowl provides. If we're being truthful, I am really a dog person. They really are comforting and fun to be around. To be clear here, and I feel compelled to be clear because oftentimes review comments can be misconstrued either inadvertently or deliberately; I prefer to consume chickens and convert them to waste matter, but to say I am a dog person doesn't mean I also digest dog meat. When I say I am a dog person, I mean I like to be surrounded by dogs that I don't intend to eat, but if we're talking about sustenance, then I would say or use the term I am more of a chicken guy which isn't to say I don't also detest being surrounded by chickens vs cows, but if we're spanning the entire spectrum of the animal kingdom in terms of what I like to be around, then I would chose to be around capybaras. Now capybaras aren't animals that I would eat either, but if I were asked to complete the sentence "I am a _____ guy" and the context were food, I would say chicken, but if the context were companionship without the intent to put into my gastro-intestinal tract, the answer would be dog or capybara, without distinction, and some birds, because I enjoy the birdsongs of some birds, but chickens are also birds, so that doesn't mean that I enjoy the companionship of chickens, which I prefer to eat, but not the flying birds that sing in my backyard, which I do not intend to consume. Fish are also animals I enjoy consuming but it would be inaccurate to say that I enjoy being around fish, or I am fish guy, because fish live underwater and that would be complicated and I do not count aquariums as a proxy for surrounding myself with fish, although flying fish pose a particular conundrum but I don't enjoy eating flying fish, similar to how I do not enjoy consuming flying birds.
Harris Feeding Company houses many cows. I don't mind driving by at 75 mph and looking at the cows housed here. A lot of commenters here have given this facility a low rating because of the smell, but that's like saying I don't like Motel 6 because of the sign colors, so it doesn't bother or affect my rating of this place; that and my anosmia.

You can smell this place for miles from the interstate 5. Foul, disgusting smelling place that clearly should be shut down for the saftey of all surrounding residents and farms. This place needs to be investigated for their waste practices, inhumane treatment of their cows, and disgusting misuse of valuable land.

One of the best and biggest cattle farms I’ve ever seen! All of these people who have their panties in a wad for the smell as if there is ANYTHING ANYONE CAN DO FOR IT. get a grip. You all eat the beef and you like it!
