My 2nd consecutive day of going wine tasting near where I am staying in Benson, Arizona.

I really must thank Ann & Jim, the owners, & winemakers, of Hannah's Hill Vineyard, for a sampling of great wines, views, & conversation.

I ended up buying a bottle of their 2017 Petite Sirah Nugget, and I am looking forward to sharing it with someone.

You have to stop and talk to Jim and Ann. Trust the signs and follow the road to the building. You are in the right place, there are only three tables, but if you engage Jim and Ann to understand their approach to wine making you won't be sorry. Their wines have a ton of character primarily because the work with the grapes. I bought a case and a half of three different times. Enjoy!

While I’ve never e joyed the wine here… I did recently enjoy their driveway and horses while on a storm chasing trip, and had a hell of a laugh trying to shoot photos around these charismatic horses. Easy 5 stars.

Delicious local wines made and poured by knowledgeable staff:
The Viognier is a soft, easy drinking white that pairs well with Mediterranean noshings, like hummus, prosciutto and olives.
The Arizona Grenache Noir Blush was unlike any wine I've ever tasted. Its flavors would easily pair up to a venison or bison burger off the grill.
The Aggregate, a rich blend, will complement lean beef or full flavored poultry.
Looking forward to returning to pick up more of Hannah's wines.

Hannah's Hill is a great spot to relax, sip the wine and enjoy the beautiful views. The owners are very helpful and the white shepard dogs are a wonderful addition to your visit. Hannah's Hill is one of our favorite vinyards to visit in Arizona.

I’m sorry but this is the scariest vineyard experience we have ever had… basically unkept unclean and unsure if wine is actually wine. Gave a star because dogs are exceptional. Please owners clean up the place. Please don’t charge for glasses ‘because you don’t have ability to clean them’ what? You are running a wine production facility. Albeit small but could be clean and cute.

What a wonderful experience tasting the superb wines from Hannah’s Hill vineyard. I never knew Arizona grew grapes but now I know that wines produced there are better than any wines I drank from countries like France, Germany or Italy.
The wines are very palatable and tannin free which for me is a super plus since I have an allergy to tannin. I will certainly visit Hannah’s Hill vineyard again as soon as my recently purchased supply runs out. Again said, a vineyard worth visiting again and again.

The owners were present and pouring wine. Friendly and knowledgeable. Outside seating with appropriate cleaning and distancing for the times. Nice wines. If you bring your own glass the wine tasting is less expensive. No problem if you don't. You purchase a glass that is yours to keep (and can use at other wine tastings!)
