What’s not to love!!!!! Iconic SFV vibes! You could spend hours here just soaking up all the beauty of the plants, pottery, handmade furniture, and more! Was I in a fairytale or a nursery?! It’s the absolute best! Kind employees who don’t bother you when you just want to browse- it’s like they know you come here for peace! I just love it and my kids can’t get enough! We love to come especially in the fall! Give the giant polar bear a high five:)

Last year, I purchased a rose labeled Fourth of July from your nursery. I devoted an entire year to caring for it—watering, fertilizing, training it to climb. It grew into a vigorous 3-4 meter tall plant, and I was thrilled when it finally began to bloom. However, to my shock, it turned out to be the much-criticized Golden Showers, a completely different rose variety that I would never have chosen.

This was not just a minor disappointment—it was the result of a full year of dedication and expectation. I visited your nursery to confront the issue, bringing the original tag and speaking directly with the rose department manager and the general manager. Instead of an apology, I was told that I would need to dig up the entire plant and bring it back in order to receive a refund. The sheer absurdity and impracticality of this request left me stunned.

What’s more disheartening is the complete lack of accountability or empathy in the response I received. Over the past year, I’ve spent several thousand dollars at Green Thumb Nursery on trees, fruit trees, roses, herbs, soil, mulch, fertilizers, and more. I considered myself a loyal customer. This incident, however, has made me seriously question whether my loyalty is valued.

I am not just seeking a refund—I am asking for your nursery to reflect on the importance of accurate labeling, customer trust, and accountability. A sincere apology and a fair resolution would go a long way in restoring faith in your brand.

I recently visited this garden center for advice on upgrading my flower beds and purchasing new plants. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, offering great suggestions on drought-resistant plants that would thrive in my local climate. The quality of the plants is exceptional, with vibrant colors and healthy roots. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the plants and advice. I went to Armstrong in Studio City. Even though they were busy, they were still very helpful and prompt. I have shopped here for many years and will continue. I’ve found that the plants I buy here do much better than plants that I have purchased elsewhere.

Been shopping at The Thumb for 25 years and there’s always something new. Best selection of plants anywhere and knowledgeable staff to help with advice on just about anything from plant care, fertilizer and pest control. Great selection of seeds and huge variety of vegetables for any garden. Grab a wagon and fill it up!

The workers there are extremely helpful and kind so if you can't find what you're looking for don't be afraid to ask. The store is beautiful and the plants are well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back soon.
