I don't want to share this hidden gem because one of the things I love about it is the lack of crowds, but George Hill is one of the best local orchards. The people who own and run it are very kind and laid back. They have a variety of apples, plus peaches, blueberries, pumpkins and probably some others. They also have a gorgeous property that's great to stroll around and enjoy peacefully on a nice day. Plus, there are a few animals to visit (goats and sheep), which the kids always enjoy. Follow them on Facebook for all the updates. Don't forget that they are closed on Saturdays.

I recommend George Hill Orchards!! It was a fantastic day. Apple picking is one of my favorite things to do, and this was my first time at this orchard. You Definitely should check out all the varieties of apples, sweet treats and cider 🙂

I have always loved going to this orchard, but this year I was extremely disappointed. The animals are kept in haphazard poor condition and pens. The bunnies have barely enough room for 1, and the chickens are forced to perch because of the wire on the bottom of their cage which is not good for their feet. The pigs have no grass, no proper house, and the fencing is falling apart. The paths are muddy and deep with tractor marks, and there are bins of rotting apples everywhere.
I hope for the animals sake you get them some proper pens or remove them.

I've come a few times before last couple of years and the kids have had a great time. hayrides, the animals, food, good pricing. I check online to make sure that hayrides were still happening to see they posted 2 days ago that they were on facebook. What a disappointment to come out for them to tell us no hayrides and to drive out. said that they may do hayrides once the cars clear and they have enough people. seems like a contradiction that you can't send the hayride out with cars out there but keep sending cars out? i didn't have time to wait to see when or IF they would do hayrides so we ended up leaving with some sad frustrated kids. I could have just made a quick farm stand visit or gone to the grocery store if I had known 🤷🏻 call ahead I guess.

Amazing place to pick apples, pumpkins and other fruits. There are also pigs, goats, and chickens you can see. The shop has amazing pies and the donuts are the best!

This farm is gorgeous. The owner, I think, was so unbelievably nice - he took the time to explain everything and the quality of fruit was amazing - the way fruit should taste. This is a fantastic place to be and would recommend it to anyone.
