Absolutely love this place, was so sad to see almost out of business til new ownership took chance with money behind it and totally saved this place making my favorite childhood food market the best place to buy groceries on this side of town, great prices on beef cuts and good selection of international foods! Check it out there's bound to be something you'll love about this place.

I'm from Elk Grove but visit grandma in Galt often. She wanted to stop by after our usual Denny's breakfast together. I've never been and have tried tacos meats at many Latino stores for tacos places. Being a 1st generation Mexican, the meat was the best I have ever had from any taco place or other carnecierias.
I'm always looking for a good taco, and they blew me away! The prices were just as surprised. I didn't want to give it away, but I also would like them to succeed so I can get my favorites.

Went to this place to find masa to make tamales. The guy at the deli counter said he just ran out of the one he makes, because of the holidays, but they had one that was pre-mixed in a plastic bag that he said was just as good. So we decided to go with it since we had already made the tamale stuffing and sauce. So, we made the tamales, and it turned out pretty good. The masa is a little grainy and chunky, but after you cook it, it's pretty good. We will have to try the homemade one that the guy makes next time.

It is a really great and cheaper store to get your regular groceries, specially vegetables. It is a Mexican market. If you love Mexican food or spices, must visit one time.
