Fry's gets a second star because its produce department is quite good. However, Fry's manages to have perhaps the ugliest supermarket in town (no small feat), with a non-descript building fronted by a massive sea of parking that is virtually devoid of landscaping. But the main reason that it deserves no more than that can be summed up in 2 words - "Fuel Points." Unlike Safeway, which allows points to be used for groceries, Fry's only rewards motorists, and the bigger the tank (& therefore the bigger the gas guzzler), the greater the reward. Any company that adores those who show the greatest contempt for the environment and that has no interest in those who walk, bike, or take the bus does not deserve to remain in business.

Lisa in the deli area, thank you for your endless patience and kindness today. Thank you to Dorene at self-checkout today, supportive, helpful, patient and personable.
Fry's knows how to hire and train the best of the best employees for top notch customer service, not only is Fry's the logical less expensive choice, but, the gasoline bennies, the parking lot, the ADA compliant/accessible entrances and the layout of the store make this a store for everyone.
Store=always clean, stocked and clear aisles. Restrooms are clean.
Happy store=happy customers.
Prices@Fry's=ecstatic shoppers.
10 gold stars to EVERYONE in this crew!

The pickup parking spots are ridiculous. No one is picking up from Fry's. It's already a tiny parking lot and they are making less parking.

Yes, it's a big chain grocery store. And this one is laid out well, stocked full and well staffed. Every isle is clean, organized and stays with their manyra of low prices and quality selections. The staff was quick and attentive. The checkout process was efficient and again, well staffed.

We arrived here late Saturday night, needing supplies for the next day. The store was buzzing with staff replenishing and sharpening the store. We grabbed our needed items, and did so quickly, since the store was well organized.

The restroom facilites were also clean (thankfully), fully stocked and notably lacking of wear and graffiti (again thankfully). This store, like many, includes a Starbucks, which is convenient.

This Fry's includes a nice fueling bar and station, which is a nice bonus.

The parking is extensive, which is also nice. The only drawback here is that there is literally no lighting in the parking lot. This is fine in the daytime, but a real safety concern at night, both for people driving who can't see pedestrians in to lot, and simply for the safety of guests concerned about crime and safety.

Great selection of products, easy to navigate, really good produce, fantastic fresh sushi and fresh-made foods (chicken tenders and potato wedges), and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was so pleased there were so many staffed checkout lines open so I didn't have to do it myself. And there was even a bagger!

I do a lot of instacart shopping at this store as well as for myself. Staff is always super polite and very chatty. I NEVER get attitude for being a shopper like numerous other stores. Store is always clean, doesn't smell, and very easy to find an employee if needed. The store layout also makes sense to me so I rarely have to find an employee to help me find an item.

Every time I've gone I never have to wait more than 1 or 2 people ahead of me. And they are really good about opening up a register if lines start to form.

This is my go to place for groceries. The produce is always fresh. Good selection of produce and meats. The deli staff have always been very helpful and friendly. I would rate this plac 5 stars but they never have enough cashier's. They are trying to enforce the scanner guns and self checkouts. I prefer dealing with humans not some computerized system. Please add more cashier's. If you do not use the scanners and self checkout expect a long wait time to checkout.

Cashier refused to sell me non-alcoholic beer because one of the two miners with me was not my own child. It was my daughter's boyfriend. Arizona doesn't even regulate non-alcoholic beer. There's less than 0.5% alcohol in non-alcoholic beer. The federal government doesn't even treat it as an alcoholic beverage if it's lower than 5%. I usually have a checker ask me what my birth date is. Occasionally they'll ask to see my driver's license, but I've never had one say that regardless of that, because I have a minor with me that I cannot buy non-alcoholic beverages. But The clincher was just how obnoxious the cashier was about the whole situation. I've shopped at Fry's for 15 years. I've never had a problem with cashiers and this is the second really bad negative interaction I've had in the last couple of months. I guess it's time to go back to Safeway
