I went to this market every week for 20 years but quit going a couple of years ago. The new location is extremely crowded, with long lines. It is also harder to park which is surprising since there actually is more parking spaces available. The crowds are great for the vendors, but for people like me who can't stand in long lines due to physical restraints, it just doesn't work. Plus multiple times when I eventually made it to the front, what I waited for is sold out. It also seems like there is less local produces and other food stuffs and more prepared foods. I now drive farther to shop local produce where lines are much shorter! But if you don't mind big crowds, check it out!

Bailees bistro food truck is there every Friday 4 to 7. Do yourself the biggest favor and go get something from her. I had a gyro w fries. I'm from Chicago, and have yet to find a gyro home worthy. THIS IS!!! Portions are huge but that doesn't matter your going to want to eat it all I promise. The fries have a seasoning on them that's almost like a season salt and totally brings them to another level. Her food reminds me of sitting in my YaYas kitchen having a gyro from the best place around the corner! Thank you for giving me a taste of home!!!!

It's a great place to visit after a hard week's work. My favorite is the Chocolate raspberry cream pie and the cookies that go with it. Be careful you can overdose. Get there early, as they sell out relatively quickly. You don't go there for good prices, you go there for good quality, freshness and support of the independent small businesses. I find the jalapeno cheddar and olive loaf bread to be second to none. You can pay cash and not be surveilled in the process. Good place to meet the neighbors an go off the grid.

We were really pleased with our visit there. We found a nice variety of fresh vegetables and some fruit. Also there was a variety of breads pastries and meats, as well as food vendors offering kettle corn, pies, salsas, pita bread sandwiches and pizza baked in a mobile wood fired oven. Well done!

The new location is actually in the parking lot between 4400 and 4240; the parking entrance faces Barclay Ave. Just came from there; a few new vendors as well as our usual favorites. Very good fresh fruits & vegetables, as well as bread, baked goods, salsa, 'rogis, giros, and the ice cream truck. New location parking is actually easier.

Good farmers and food vendors. Sandhill Berries has been one of my favorites for many years from Mt. Pleasant. They have a bakery and a winery also. Check their website and call and order a few days in advance to be sure you get what you want because they sell out of a lot of berry pies of all kinds and other pies especially early at the farmers market. They sell their berries and apples. They grow all their own fruit in a "sustainable" way for the environment and for us. They have around 200 varieties of apples they grow on their own orchard. They only use their own apples for pies. Call ahead and see when they will have some of their apples for pies. You will be amazed at the quality. Enjoy.

Fresh firm vegtables. Keep for at least 2 weeks. They have a good selection. There is a vendor there that carries hot jelly at versus levels of heat. Free samples provided. Also a popcorn vendor with fresh lemonade. Lines can get long because stuff is good worth the wait.
