Very knowledgeable! Has plants not found in Lowes or Home depot. Found many varieties I had from my grandmother. Also pots and garden statues. Reasonable prices all around!!

The greenhouse at Filchner's is awesome! The plants are all healthy and well cared for. And they have a huge variety of vegetables as well as flowers. The store has everything you could need to decorate as well as take care of your garden or flower bed. Some if the decorative items are a little pricey. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is great. I purchased fkowers in the spring that lasted through the whole season. Just purchased an 8 ft Christmas tree for 45 dollars. You can't beat the quality and price. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner.

Filchner's is the best place to buy plants and garden materials in this area. They grow all their own plants, which are always healthy free of diseases. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

This is the second year we bought vegetable plants here. The first year was ok. This year, the San marsano tomato plants we bought, all 8 if them developed blight--even before bwe transferred them to the garden bed. One of them is dying now. We've handled these plants exactly the same way we've handled the nursery plants we have bought for years now, and have never had this happen. These plants must have been diseased when we got them. We'll think twice before going back.

My previous TRUTHFUL review seems to have been deleted... Let me repeat... The owner told me directly that "it's a good neighborhood because there aren't any blacks around". This was on my very first visit and he said it voluntarily while going on a dissertation about the area of which he wouldn't shut up... Including his lust for the lady down the road and his disdain for local government who "what's to steal his land.".
