I simply stopped in for a spinach salad. The ambience is great, the servers so good, and just a delightful experience. I’ll have to go back for a full meal. Great dining in Alaska.

Fat Olives is doing some things right.

Our order was to-go, so we might have missed out on the full dine-in experience. Also, not all menu options are available to-go.

We started with the meatball and cheese bread appetizers. The cheese bread was okay, essentially a small cheese pizza. The meatballs, however, were well-made with great flavor. They came with a couple of pieces of bread, but we were expecting flatbread with extra sauce for dipping, so it was a bit underwhelming.

My daughter had a pepperoni and olive pizza and was satisfied with it. We also shared a Caesar Salad, which disappointed in overall flavor. We had a half White Devil and half Hitman pizza. The White Devil was okay, but the Hitman was something else, with flavors popping from the pesto sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and salami.

We closed the meal by sharing a slice of chocolate layer cake and carrot cake. The chocolate layer cake was very sweet for my taste, but my daughters were big fans. I enjoyed the carrot cake, which stood out with its light cream cheese frosting, pecans, and especially the caramel drizzle.

Overall, Fat Olives has some hits and misses, but it’s worth a try.

Nice place. We came in for early dinner and I ordered the Italian sandwich and cup of Tomato basil bisque. The soup was very good, the sandwich bread was very good. There was too much balsamic as I would pick up the sandwich and it ran all over. I was afraid that I was going to stain my new shirt as it splattered, and I used my napkin extensively after every bite as my hand would be balsamic-cated. Surprisingly, not a huge fan Balsamic, it was not overpowering, so I think it was poured on in-between the meats and the toppings. I think if they poured it on the bread halves first, it would soak into the bread. Lessening the splatter of balsamic. Overall the food was good, just dangerous to your clothing. By the way, as we walked out, the pizza looked incrediable

Hopefully, this was a fluke. We ordered to go so we didn't get to talk to anyone. I have celiac so I was super excited to see they had gf pizza. When I ordered I found out they did not have any more gf crust I ordered a salad without onions and balsamic dressing, I added chicken. It came out to almost $30. When I got home it had onions and ranch dressing and the chicken was not seasoned. We ordered a slice a meat pizza and it was extremely burnt. They did replace it for “free” with a slice of pepperoni because they were out of meat. The pepperoni was very underdone.

Beautiful restaurant and excellent food! My wife and I were visiting from San Diego, and we loved the food very much! Her brother lives in Homer.

I had the seafood stew and it was delicious. It was a tomato based stew with halibut, mussels, clams and shrimp. They didn't bring a discard dish for your shell and they took away the bread plate I was using for shells. I think it's because the staff was pretty young. They were highly attentive, but not entirely keyed into needs yet. They
don't take reservations, but there was no wait when we arrived. The restaurant was moderately full. They brought us big kettles of hot water for tea and their tea selection was good.

The oysters were wonderful, as was the pork belly. The pizza was good but a little cheesy.

Amazing pizza! Pizza is one of those foods in life where even bad pizza can be decent still, however this was just flat out GREAT pizza. I ordered the Fab 4 and I think they made a mistake while making it so they gave me an extra pizza for free. THATS GREAT SERVICE. Definitely will be back here this summer with some friends. While their crusts are different, I think they taste better than Moose’s Tooth. Fat Olive’s please keep being awesome.
